Based on the national innovation-driven development strategy and our social development's demand for talents under the new normal economic,China has put forward a goal of building an advanced and modern vocational education system in June 2014.Vocational education,including higher vocational education,will shoulder the historic task of cultivating a large number of high-quality workers and skilled personnel for our nation and society,as well as solving the contradiction between the total employment and the structural employment in China.Therefore,how to build and develop vocational education well will be the strategic focus of education work at present and in the future.However,influenced by many factors like social concepts,educational system and so on,vocational education still has the problems of low social status,low quality of students,high rate of students' violation of discipline and unstable quality of personnel training.This study aims to improve students' discipline of higher vocational schools by taking the students of X Application Technology affiliated to Guangxi as the research object.On the basis of consulting literatures and learning the previous research results,the author of the study conducts in-depth investigation and analysis of the current situation of students' discipline through questionnaires and interviews,and adopts the experimental method to formulate and implement the disciplinary improvement strategy.Through statistical analysis,the effectiveness and persistence of intervention strategies are tested in order to provide some useful references for discipline management in higher vocational colleges.This study mainly contains five parts:The first part is the introduction,which includes the proposal of the issue,the purpose and significance of the study,research ideas and methods,the definition of related core concepts,research status and enlightenment at home and abroad andothers.The second part is the investigation of the discipline situation of the higher vocational students in the case school and the analysis of the causes of the discipline problems.It introduces introduce the case school and investigate student discipline through teacher and student interviews,questionnaires,class discipline scores,and collection of disciplinary data from the school.Finally,it summarizes the causes of discipline problems: first,the reason for the social environment;second,the reason for students themselves;third,the reason for teachers;fourth,the reason for school management;and fifth,the reason for families.In the third part,on the basis of investigation and analysis,the author proposes and formulates feasible strategies for improve the discipline intervention,and implements them in experimental classes.That is,strengthening discipline and ideological education,establishing students' confidence,students' participation in the formulation of discipline and code of conduct,clarifying teachers' management responsibilities and methods,improving teacher-student relationship,training and training,deploying disciplinary behavior recorders and correctors,cultivating and strengthening class collective honor consciousness,promoting students to compete in groups on disciplinary behavior,strengthening communication and assistance for "disciplined students",implementing incentive mechanism and strengthening cooperation and communication between schools and families.In the end,the experimental group classes in the study subjects were implemented.In the fourth part,according to the results of two questionnaire surveys,class discipline scores,and school-wide disciplinary inspection data collected after the implementation of the discipline improvement strategy.Then compare the student's disciplinary status between the experimental group and the control group.By analyzing the effectiveness of the discipline improvement strategy and the persistence of the discipline improvement effect,it concluded that the effectiveness of the discipline improvement strategy is significant,but the effect persistence is different.The last part is the conclusion by making a summary about the research results,innovations,shortcomings and areas needed improvement and promotion.Through the implementation of the intervention strategy of strengthening discipline,students' overall disciplinary outlook have been greatly improved,all kinds of violations of discipline have been reduced,enthusiasm and self-restraint ability to participate in class management and collective activities have been improved,and therelationship between teachers and students has gradually improved.Although this study has achieved some results,it still needs further reflection and summary on many issues.
