Aesthetic education,as a special education,educates students through the form of beauty.It can not only elevate people’s ideological morality but also purify their emotions and uplift their spirit.At the same time,aesthetic education constitutes an essential part of quality education.Under new circumstances and facing new tasks in the new era,the ideological and political education of college students is a glorious mission of great responsibility.As aesthetic education and ideological and political education are identical in nature,to attach importance to the former and innovate its educational methods so as to promote the achievement of the purpose of the latter is,for the overall quality of talents training,an important approach to train contemporary talents who pursue an all-round development in the aspects of moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetics and labour education and,for the correct political orientation of talents training,an important way to cultivate socialist builders and successors.Keeping up with the times and taking into consideration the needs of talents training in colleges and universities,the thesis bases itself on the essential connection between aesthetic education and ideological and political education,and combines theoretical innovation and innovation in practice.In this way,the thesis analyzes and discusses how to accomplishing the purpose of ideological and political education through the promotion of aesthetic education,and puts forward some innovative theory about the principles and approaches of integrating aesthetic education to ideological and political education of college students.The thesis adopts the dialectical thinking method of Marxism and interdisciplinary research methods,combines macro-research with micro-analysis and purpose with means,and insists on integrating theory with practice.According to cognitive psychology,people’s understanding of things has experienced a development process from the lower level to the higher level,from the simple to the complex,and from the unilateral to the complete.In other words,people’s thinking always conform to the logic process of “Why+What+How”.Thus,this thesis follows the research sequence of exploring “why”,“what” and “how” successively,and conducts an in-depth study of the key problem that “how to promote the achievement of the purpose of ideological and political education through aesthetic education”.The whole thesis consists of four parts.First,explaining the reason for selecting this subject matter.The introductory part mainly explains “why” the author has chosen to study this subject from four aspects.First,it explains the research background and meaning of this study;second,it offers a literature review on the relevant studies both at home and abroad;third,it gives an introduction of the research ideas and methods in this thesis;fourth,it makes a summary of the key and difficult points,and the innovation of this study.Second,analyzing the foundation of this study.Chapter One mainly expounds on the two key terms in this thesis,namely “aesthetic education” and “ideological and political education”,and explains how the former promotes the latter to realize its value.In other words,by examining the connotations of the two key terms,analyzing their interrelations and exploring their value,Chapter One mainly answers the question of “what”.In order to examine the connotations of the above two terms,the thesis explores their development and concepts respectively,especially their components,basic characteristics and major objectives.Then,the thesis analyzes the unity and distinctions between the two so as to explore their interrelations.Finally,the thesis analyzes,from the aspects of the spirit,capabilities and cognition of the educated,the value of using aesthetic education to promote the achievement of the purpose of college ideological and political education.Third,making an exploration of the subject.Chapter Two mainly examines the main effects,problems and causes in promoting the achievement of the purpose of college ideological and political education through aesthetic education,thus paving the way for Chapter Four.To explore the main effects,Chapter Two analyzes the educated both as a collective and as individuals,and the education contents and methods that influence the development of the educated,and so on.Then,the chapter examines the problems from four aspects,namely the teachers,contents,teaching methods,and environment of ideological and political education.Finally,Chapter Two makes a pertinent analysis of the causes of those problems.Fourth,putting forward the countermeasures.Chapter Three focuses on the problem of “how”,that is,how to use aesthetic education to promote the achievement of the purpose of ideological and political education in colleges and universities,and examines this problem mainly from the aspects of basic focus and main approaches.As to basic focus,the thesis discusses how aesthetic education can find the most fundamental and effective methods and evidence in college students’ ideological and political education,then puts forward and analyzes four principles in the sequence of their importance.Next,Chapter Three combines the problems and causes discussed in Chapter Two and summarizes the major approaches to using aesthetic education to promote the achievement of the purpose of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. |
