Research teaching is regarded as an important means of cultivating innovative talents.Implementing research teaching in colleges and universities is a new type of talent training mode.However,in view of the reality of university teaching,as an advanced teaching method,it is difficult for research teaching to enter university classrooms.University teachers are not good at research teaching,which is a common problem in university teaching.The key to the problem is that university teachers' teaching qualities can not meet the requirements of research teaching.Therefore,based on the dual needs of theoretical innovation and solving real problems,through static theoretical research and dynamic teaching observation,this study combines research teaching with teaching qualities of university teachers,and explores teaching qualities of university teachers from the perspective of research teaching.The analytical framework of this study is “Overview of research teaching--University teachers' teaching quality requirements based on research teaching--Strategies of improving teaching qualities of university teachers based on research teaching--Returning to research teaching: the release of teaching qualities of university teachers”.First of all,from the perspective of historical investigation and etymology,this study believes that research teaching is problem-centered and characterized by students' active inquiry.Teachers create the process of imparting knowledge as a way to stimulate students' problem awareness,guide students to think positively,and explore problems independently.Research teaching is centered on problems and aims at cultivating students' rational thinking ability.It is a process in which teachers inspire students' subjectivity,and it is also a process in which teachers guide students to self-generate.Research is the proper meaning of university teaching,and it is the basic requirement of university teachers to be good at research teaching.After clarifying the essence of research teaching,it is clear that the quality of research teaching is necessary for university teachers.The author analyzes teaching qualities of university teachers from three aspects: attitude,knowledge and ability.Research teaching requires university teachers to establish research teaching attitude,expand knowledge structure,and update knowledge.Research teaching also requires university teachers to have research and innovation ability,research teaching design ability,research teaching organization ability,researchteaching guidance ability and research teaching wit.Based on the fact that university teachers are not competent for research teaching,this study enhances teaching qualities of teachers from both teachers and universities.After teaching qualities of university teachers are improved,they will return to research teaching and guide teaching practice.
