Face recognition technology has developed rapidly in recent years,bringing great convenience to people's daily life and information security.China is a multi-ethnic country.With the advancement of international status,disharmonious factors have also emerged.In order to promote the harmonious unity of all ethnic groups,it is of great significance to conduct timely research on the national characteristics of the faces of various nationalities.According to research data,there are few studies on the characteristics of human face in China.In this thesis the similarities and differences between the facial organs and their combinations of the Hui and Han nationalities in Ningxia are studied in detail.The main work is as follows:(1)Construction of the Hui and Han facial data sets in Ningxia.The Hui nationality is required to have pure blood,normal facial development,no human-induced changes and unobstructed frontal photos,and a large number of questionnaires on the differences between the Han and Han nationalities.The active shape model is then used to construct the geometric relationship of the local organs of the face and perform statistical analysis.At the same time,the local organ region is extracted from the established face dataset,and six Ningxia Hui and Han nationality facial organ data sets are constructed.Under the visually significant situation,the questionnaire survey is conducted again,and the feedback mechanism is added to improve the objectivity of the evaluation results..(2)Extract the local binary pattern features and gradient histogram of oriented gradient features on the newly created facial local organ dataset,and combining the two above,using the Support Vector Machine for national local organ recognition.The experimental results show that for a single local organ,the characteristics of the fusion in the standard SVM,the correct rate of the eye is 5.78% and 25.29% higher than the nose and mouth respectively.In nonlinear SVM,the correct rate is 5.76% and 24.84% higher than the nose and mouth,respectively.The fusion characteristics of the eye + nose,when using the standard SVM,the correct rate is 0.89% and 7.71% higher than the eyebrows + eyes and nose + mouth respectively.When using a non-linear SVM,the correct rate is 2% and 8.65% higher than the eyebrows + eyes and nose + mouth,respectively.Combined with two manual investigations and statistical analysis,the validity of the experiment was verified.That is to say,the eye has biggest difference in the face local organs between Hui and Han nationality face,and the combination eye+nose can show the difference between Hui and Han nationality,which provides an important reference value and research direction for the future study of Hui and Han nationality face.
