The current situation of extracurricular reading of middle school students in China is not optimistic.With the development and popularization of computer network technology,digital reading has gradually become an important way for people to obtain information and construct knowledge.How to adapt to the development trend of digitalization,use digital reading to increase students’ interest in reading,make up for the deficiency of middle school students’ extracurricular reading,and improve students’ reading ability is an important subject worthy of in-depth study at present.In this paper,the integrated use of literature research,questionnaire investigation and other methods,the extracurricular reading and digital reading definitions related to the interpretation,analysis of the significance of extra-curricular reading of junior high school students learning Chinese,using the digital reading to increase the feasibility of the middle school students’ extracurricular reading level,this paper expounds the digital reading can contribute to the theoretical basis of extracurricular reading,through the investigation and analysis of situation of extracurricular reading in high school,combining digital reading and extracurricular reading,puts forward the improving measures about junior middle school students’ reading problem.Extracurricular reading is indispensable important component of middle school students’ humanities ascension,the internal mechanism for play to students’ subjectivity,personalized reading behavior contains rich learning efficiency,and the deeper experience of the extracurricular reading activities are also exerts a subtle influence on the students’ Chinese accomplishment of improving,and use of digital reading can better improve the quality of the extracurricular reading.Digital reading the openness,sharing of resources,make up for the deficiency of the in-class reading content is not comprehensive,convenient for students to grasp the connotation of the works as a whole,and the network can let students can get a lot of information in a short period of time,form the overall understanding of relevant knowledge,ease the extracurricular reading efficiency of digital reading,digital interactive characteristics of reading process to increase the students’ learning interest,realize the reading subject and object of two-way interaction,communicate with readers,readers and the author makes readers become possible.Through the questionnaire survey,the author found that the current junior middle school students for the use of digital products tend to entertainment,there are students interactive unmet demand,read the depth is not enough,lack of teacher instructing the extracurricular reading,aiming at these problems,the author put forward the following countermeasures: to strengthen the guidance of reading method,let the students learn to read,including the teachers and students of extracurricular reading attitude,stimulate students interest in reading,reading goals clearly,reading plan,etc.Enrich the content of reading,pay attention to the content selection,under the guidance of certain principles to build a special digital reading platform for junior high school students,regulate the quality of digital reading content;Strengthen digital reading interaction design,meet the needs of student interaction,using class sharing group,reading software to enhance the interaction between students;Develop research topics to promote deep reading;Change evaluation idea,establish perfect evaluation mechanism.It is a good choice to advocate a variety of activities,such as pre-class speech,book exchange,poetry conference and so on.In a word,in the digital age,how to make use of the advantages of digital platform to make up for the deficiency of extracurricular reading of junior middle school students and improve the quality of extracurricular reading is a valuable topic.However,the development path of new things is always tortuous.We should rationally analyze the advantages and disadvantages of digital reading for extracurricular reading of junior middle school students and use digital platform reasonably and appropriately to improve the reading quality of junior middle school students.
