Objective: The preliminary checklist is designed for teachers to make assessment on adolescents' academic problems and test their psychometric properties.Methods: First,analyze the test items of the preliminary checklist according to literature and make a survey among287 head-teachers in Hainan Province with open questionaires so that the teachers can make assessment on the test items and we can revise the items according to the feedback.Secondly.Second,select a small sample and use the revised test items to make analysis and form the preliminary questionnaire.Thirdly,make assessment on 258 students in6 classes of a school in Haikou,Hainan province with the preliminary questionaires and make exploratory factor analysis on 245 effective ones of the questionaires.Fourth,make assessment on 405 students in 9 classes of 6 middle schools in Haikou and its neighborhood with the revised questionaires,make confirmatory factor analysis on 329 ones of the questionaires and form the formal questionaires.Fifth,make a reliability and validity examination on the formal questionaire with 35 retested samples,80 samples of criterion validity and 21 samples of scorer reliability.Results: 1.The structure of the “The preliminary checklist of adolescents' academic problems(teachers-used)” is established by exploratory factor analysis,which is divided into two dimensions,including “cognitive flexibility” and “inhibition-working memory”(KMO=0.968,p<0.001).2.Confirmatory factor analysis results show that the data fits well with the model(? 2/df=3.356,GFI=0.856,AGFI=0.825,RMR=0.028,SRMR=0.0350,RMSEA=0.078,CFI=0.942,NFI= 0.919,IFI=0.942);3.Checklist of Adolescent Academic Behavior Behavior” has good internal consistency reliability(Cronbach ? =0.972,split-half reliability=0.938),scorer reliability(r=0.869),retest Reliability(r=0.727);its dimensions also have good reliability,Cronbach? is between 0.947~0.967,the split-half reliability is between0.928~0.955,the test-retest reliability is between 0.627~0.717,the scorer's reliability is between 0.842~0.872.4.The questionnaires have reasonable structural validity,and there is a medium-high correlation(0.810)between the two dimensions.The dimensions are highly correlated with the total questionnaire(bounded from 0.911 to 0.971);the validity of the criterion is good.There was a significant negative correlation between the total score of thequestionnaire and the dimension scores and the final grade(between-0.323~-0.38)1).Conclusion: “The preliminary checklist of adolescents' academic problems(teachers-used)” has good validity and reliability and can be used as a assessment tool to test students with academic problems.
