High school students’ ability to interpret historical materials has an important influence on their historical study.With the gradual progress in the reform of high school history curriculum in recent years,the importance of historical materials to high school history has become increasingly prominent.In fact,in the history study of high school,historical materials have an extremely important guiding and enlightening role for students to get close to and restore history.Based on this,this paper takes high school students’ability to interpret historical data as the main body of research,This paper is mainly composed of three parts.The first part is the importance of historical materials and the level requirements of historical materials interpretation ability.It discusses the importance of historical materials to history discipline,high school history teaching and high school students’ history learning respectively,and divides the historical materials interpretation ability into three levels of requirements:reading historical materials,reading historical materials and reading historical materials according to the principle of from low to high and from easy to difficult.The second part makes a detailed investigation on the senior high school students’ ability to interpret historical materials in the form of questionnaires,systematically analyzes and sorts out the investigation data,tries to grasp the real situation of students’ ability to interpret historical materials,and tries to dig out the relevant factors that affect the improvement of students’ ability to interpret historical materials,thus laying the foundation for the next chapter to propose practical,true and effective training measures.The third part is the key content of this article.It discusses in detail the training measures for the ability to interpret historical materials.It includes three aspects:enhancing students’ interest in historical materials,allowing students to have more contact with historical materials,and strengthening targeted methods to guide students.Among them,the teacher’s strengthening targeted method guidance for students is the core of training students’ ability to read historical materials.The method guidance for reading historical materials and reading through historical materials is discussed in detail.In order to read historical materials,three " attentions" should be paid.First,the explanatory text of historical materials should be paid attention to.To read historical materials thoroughly,one must have a solid basic knowledge of textbooks,find the agreement point between historical materials and textbooks,and make in-depth analysis and thinking on historical materials.Strive to make the research conclusions of this paper practical and objective,to the greatest extent possible,so that it can further guide students to interpret historical materials,to achieve the dual improvement of performance and ability,and to take this opportunity to further improve students’ basic abilities of learning history,exploring history,restoring history and applying history.
