Due to the long-standing political confrontation between Taiwan and the mainland,the conununication between the two sides is not smooth,so there are great differences in music education in secondary schools between the two sides.Although there are great differences in economic conditions,social changes,teachers' qualities and teaching theories between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait,because both sides belong to Chinese culture,this paper makes a comparative study of Taiwan's basic education by comparing the music teaching situation of Taipei Ren Ai National Middle School and Wuhan Jiang-Xia No.1 Junior Middle School.The similarities and differences between stage music education and mainland music education can effectively analyze the problens existing in mainland music education and give suggestions and directions for music education reform.This paper uses the methods of questiornaire,literatxire research,analysis and induction,interview and so on.Through the methods of literature investigation,questionnaire,analysis and induction,classroom observation and interview results,it studies the curriculum program,curriculum settings and related aspects of music education in Taipei Ren Ai National Middle School and Wuhan Jiang-Xia First Junior Middle School.The following conclusions can be drawn from the research on the implementation process of the curriculum.The survey shows that:1.At present,music education in secondary schools in Taiwan is rooted in the field of art and humanities.Because of the influence of social,economic and cultural factors,it is quite different from the music education system in mainland China.2.Comparing the teaching process of music courses in middle schools across the Taiwan Straits,we find that the goal of music courses in Taiwan is more elaborate,divided into each class,and the efficiency of implementation is also higher.The culture rooted in the two cultures is different,but its aesthetic core is very consistent.The curriculum of Taiwan is based on the western music system and the music of localization.In the mainland curriculum content,the Chinese national music is an important research object,which is different from the western music system.From the perspective of curriculum management,there is a great difference between the awareness of curriculum management and the source of funds between the two sides.At that time,the application of elective courses and modem computer technology was comparatively similar.In the course of curriculum implementation,the two sides adopt the way of collective lesson preparation and teaching research to ensure effective time and enrich teaching methods.However,in the specific process,there are great differences in music teaching design,curriculum focus and teaching monitoring level.In the evaluation of music curriculum,the scope of investigation is similar to the interaction between teachers and students,and there are great differences in evaluation scale,evaluation methods and evaluation breadth.3.According to the comparison of teaching conditions and teachers' strraigth between the two sides,it is found that the teaching conditions in maiuland China are not bad,but the use efficiency of musical instruments and music classrooms is very low,and the low salary of teachers and the lack of professional skills also lead to the lower satisfaction of the masses than in Taiwan.4.According to the above research,three ways are put forward for reference and absorption of music education in Taiwan's middle schools:analyzing the connotation of music education curriculum,reaching consensus on overall planning,refonning teaching mode and properly planning teacher training,etc.
