Young people in poor families face a variety of problems,and low self-esteem is one of the more prominent ones.Objective: To explain the relationship between Adventure Based Counseling and young people's self-esteem in poor families through experiments.Through this study,we hope to test the positive relationship between the two factors that Adventure Based Counseling can enhance the self-esteem of young people in poor families,so as to provide some reference significance for solving the problems related to young people in poor families in the future.In order to explore the effect of Adventure Based Counseling on the self-esteem level of young people in poor families,the author refers to relevant literature and experiences,and uses quasi-experimental research design to carry out Adventure Based Counseling intervention.Twenty teenagers were randomly divided into experimental groups and control groups,each with 10 people.Before the intervention,20 people were tested for self-esteem levels.Taking into account the gender and age ratio,10 people with lower self-esteem levels were included in the experimental group.Ten people with relatively high self-esteem were included in the control group.The experimental group of teenagers was given 8 adventure sessions over a three-month period using the Adventure Based Counseling.The other 10 students were kept in a normal state without intervention as a control group.After the intervention,self-esteem levels were measured in the experimental group and the control group.Using paired samples T to test the differences in the comparison group.The experimental results showed that the self-esteem level of the members of the experimental group who participated in the Adventure Based Counseling increased significantly,and the total self-esteem level increased compared with the previous test,with a significant degree of 0.000(P< 0.01).In addition,qualitative evidence such as activity leader observations,interviews with participants,their parents and colleagues in the organization,and activity participant feedback forms showed that the participants' self-esteem level improved.Therefore,The results of this study show that Adventure Based Counseling can increase the selfesteem level of young people in poor families.
