With the continuously deepen development of educational informatization,online learning has been widely accepted.The construction and application of network learning space has also received more attention from all national education departments and educational researchers.Driven by a series of national policies,the number of network learning spaces have sprung up.A large amount of unstructured data with text as the main form has accumulated in network learning space,which contains rich information of learning process,such as online discussion,learning plans,and teaching reflections.Due to the complexity of text processing,the research progress of text data in the field of education has been limited by the timeliness and scope of manual coding.How to break these restrictions,efficiently extract the implicit information,structure and laws of text data,and expand to bigger data sets,it has certain research value and practical significance.Aiming at this problem,this paper takes the online discussion data generated by learners in the network learning space as the research object,and develops an automated semantic analysis tool for online discussion.This tool can quickly mine the process information of learning involved in online discussion,so as to improve the analysis efficiency,alleviate the problems in manual analysis,such as large cost of labor and time,difficulty in expanding data sets,and so on.Specific research contents include:(1)Research on the semantic analysis method of online discussion.Starting from the semantic characteristics of online discussion data,a general model on semantic analysis of online discussion based on short text classification is proposed to realize the automated analysis by computer high-speed operation.(2)Design and implementation of a semantic analysis tool for online discussion.Based on general model,and combined with the actual functional requirements analysis,the tool is divided into nine key modules,such as data preprocessing and construction of classifier.According to detailed design,a python web project is created based on the bottle framework to complete the basic functions of automated semantic analysis of online discussion.(3)Research on the application of the semantic analysis tool for online discussion.This research takes the online discussion data of a public elective course called "Modern Educational Technology" in a normal college as objective,and then conducts an analysis research based on this tool.This research provides some suggestions to improve teaching effect and deficiencies of the tool based on the analysis results while verifying the operability and effectiveness of this tool.Limited by various conditions,this paper still has many shortcomings.However,through the implementation and application of the semantic analysis tool for online discussion in network learning space,this paper verifies the feasibility,effectiveness and convenience of applying short text classification to text analysis in education.These works are expected to provide some reference for subsequent research.
