In recent years, media reports on female drivers have been commonplace, especially in the negative cases of female drivers such as "brakes as throttles" and" road killers".In the long run, people have formed some fixed impressions on the female driver group which are mostly negative. The "female driver" incident in the Chongqing bus crash was deeply thought-provoking.This article takes this event as the starting point, analyzes the reasons for the reversal of the "female driver" in the incident, and explores whether the contemporary female stereotype may be deconstructed. This paper uses text analysis, questionnaire survey and in-depth interview as research methods.Firstly, conclude the high-frequency words by analyzing the text samples of "female drivers" from Sina Weibo, and summarize the keywords about users' attitudes towards the "female driver" in the incident and the impressions of the female drivers before and after the Chongqing crash. Then, through the form of online questionnaires, the scale used for keyword setting specifically measures the audience's attitude changes before and after the event,so as to clarify the audience's recognition of the image of "female driver" before and after the Chongqing bus crash.Information obtained from in-depth interviews can be used as a supplement. This paper combines some survey results to analyze the reasons why the "female driver" is deeply involved in negative public opinion from two aspects:First, from the perspective of media discourse, combined with consumer society, gender culture, male gaze and other related theories; The second is to analyze the differences between male and female's physiological physique and psychological cognition from the perspective of gender differences. Therefore,it is clear that the existence of female stereotypes stems from the entertainment function of the media, the presupposition of the media on the construction of female images, the gender culture, and the differentiated cognition of male and female on technology. Finally,it is concluded that despite the current national policy efforts, the improvement of woman's educational level and economic status, the impact of woman's self-media are resulting to the partial deconstruction of female stereotypes, the same mental and emotional infection mechanisms of the group still hinder the true elimination of female stereotypes.
