The STEM education concept first proposed by the US government,aims to encourage children’s development in science,technology,engineering,and mathematics,and to develop the overall quality of children,thereby enhancing their global competitiveness.The STEAM is a further development of the STEM and is intended to strengthen the development of the US K-12 education in science,technology,engineering,art and mathematics.After the introduction of STEAM education concept into China,the domestic research on how to carry out STEAM education and localization of STEAM education has been carried out extensively.At this stage,STEAM education and various courses are integrated with each other.The concept of STEAM education is often used in robotics courses,but Most of the research on robot course design is limited to primary and secondary schools,and research on robot course design in pre-school education and higher education is particularly lacking.At present,preschool robot education is generally carried out by educational institutions.The content of courses is mixed.For this reason,this study hopes to explore the design of preschool robot course,and design a robot course that can be adapted to the current stage in kindergarten.Verify the actual effect of the course.Firstly,this study has studied the status quo of STEAM education and robot education research at home and abroad through a large number of literatures,and combined with the situation of survey to analyze the situation of preschool robots,and understand the specific content of the preschool robot course.Secondly,according to the conditions,the preschool robot course under the guidance of the STEAM concept is designed.Finally,the preschool children of the large class of two kindergartens in Shijiazhuang were selected to conduct the course practice for the research subjects.The purpose of the practice was to discover the problems of course and further modify and perfect the designed courses.Research has also shown that robotics courses do contribute to the development of the abilities of preschool children.This preschool robot course can be used as a case to help more kindergartens carry out future robotics courses and contribute to the construction of robotics courses.The study is divided into five parts:The first part: Introduction.The research background is described in terms of the development of STEAM education and robot education combined with the importance of preschool education.A series of pre-school robot courses will be designed as the research purpose and significance.Through the literature review,the research status of STEAM education and robot education at home and abroad will be reviewed.On this basis,the research content will be determined,and the literature research method,questionnaire survey method,Action research methods and interviews are used as research methods.The second part: related concepts and theoretical basis.The concept of STEAM education and pre-school robotics courses is first defined.Furthermore,it expounds the support theory of constructivism,the theory of “doing middle school”,the theory of heart flow and the teaching method of Montessori to support the basic theory of this research.The third part: Preschool robot course design under the STEAM concept.Based on the STEAM education concept,combined with the teaching practice of kindergarten and the basic situation of preschool children,the design of preschool robot course was studied.This part is mainly divided into four aspects: the orientation and goal of the course,the design of the course content,the design of the course teaching mode and the establishment of the course evaluation method.The fourth part: Preschool robot course practice under the STEAM concept.Preschool children of two kindergartens in Shijiazhuang City were selected as research objects,and a semester time was used for practical research.Before the practice,the research object is analyzed in advance.The practice process is divided into two rounds of practice.After the practice is finished,the effect of the course practice is measured and analyzed according to the pre-test and back-side data of the research object.The fifth part: research summary and outlook.It is mainly a summary of the whole research work,and points out the innovation points and limitations of the research,and looks forward to the subsequent research.
