With the implementation of the new curriculum reform and the new college entrance examination,more and more attention has been paid to the cultivation of higher-order thinking such as logical thinking,geospatial thinking and innovative thinking,especially innovative thinking.The teaching method of subject teaching is an effective way to cultivate students’creative thinking.This article uses questionnaires and interviews to investigate students and first-line teachers,to understand the current situation of the implementation of the geographical theme teaching to cultivate students’creative thinking in peacetime teaching,and to find out the experience and existence of geography teaching in the cultivation of students’creative thinking.problem.Therefore,combining the theme teaching theory with the experience of self and outstanding teachers and the theme teaching practice,it is proposed that the geographical theme teaching that cultivates students’ creative thinking should follow the adaptability,prominent subjectivity,authenticity principle and ingenious design theme,and the teaching process focuses on practice,To form a teaching evaluation system that reflects diversity and flexibility.And design a specific teaching case to illustrate the geographical theme teaching students to cultivate innovative thinking.
