The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of online media platform in users' perception toward fitness intention.The main focus of the study are those young males in China,aged from 15 to 34 years old,with the purpose of gaining understanding of online media platform's role in forming their intention toward fitness and the phenomenon behind it.This study can provide some new ideas and insights to the fitness industry in terms of what kind of attitude they should hold or which platform they should put more attention and content on to create a relatively better effect.The data for this study were collected from questionnaires by online media platforms users who live in Shanghai,China,with the supportive data from interviews collected by snowball sampling.Quantitative research method was adopted in an exploratory nature with the aim of exploring the holistic picture of the topic.qualitive analysis approach was also selected to acquire data for further explanations.The result of this research shows the significant role of online media platform toward the intention of fitness.It also has been aided as a source of inspiration in terms of body transformation progress and a valuable tool for the suggestion of certain working out and healthy diet.It must be noted that further research is highly needed,as the finding in this study is placed on convenience sampling with specific demographic,and that can lead to certain traits on the use of online media platforms,which will cause an error conclusion.
