In the transition period where our society is from the industrial one to information one,artificial intelligence and other new technologies are emerging in front of our eyes constantly,changing our lives,and what drives the development of these technologies is people’s innovative thinking.Innovation can promote the historical progress and development,it can be deemed as the most urgent need of this era,which can not only provides the motive force for economic growth,it is also the decisive factor of comprehensive national strength competition.This study discusses the influence of scratch teaching on divergent thinking from the point of information technology teaching content,with the purpose of finding out the influence of scratch teaching on pupils’ divergent thinking and the relation between them.This study adopts literature review method,questionnaire survey method and experimental method to carry out the divergent thinking test.Two classes with the lowest grade difference in the fifth primary school in Longquanyi District,Chengdu,and one class as the experimental group are selected.Scratch programming language was taught once a week,the other class was used as a controlled group,and a general information technology course was taught once a week.15 boys and 15 women were selected from each class as subjects for a one-year experiment,and analyse the collected data by SPSS.The conclusion is drawn that the teaching of scratch programming language is positively related to the development of students’ divergent thinking.The results show that both the boys and girls’ fluency,flexibility and uniqueness of the divergent thinking can be improved.And the influence of scratch teaching on the fluency of divergent thinking of girls is higher than that of boys.However,there was no significant gender difference in flexibility and uniqueness.
