The application of the new information technology brings changes to the way that engineering students acquire knowledge,puts forward new requirements for the teaching reform of engineering courses,and the construction of new engineering course also encourages colleges and universities to change the existing training mode of engineering talents.The reform and innovation of teaching mode is an effective means to realize the reform of engineering talent training mode.Engineering micro-course provides a new way for engineering course teaching reform.By combining engineering micro-course teaching with traditional way,it can help stimulate students' initiative in independent learning and improve teaching satisfaction and learning effect.For this purpose,the following research have been done in this thesis:First of all,through a large number of literature studies,the concepts of micro-class,micro-course and engineering micro-course,engineering micro-course design and flipped classroom were sorted out and defined,and the theoretical basis of this paper was determined.At the same time,the design and application status of engineering micro-courses at home and abroad are reviewed to clarify the deficiencies and advanced experience.Secondly,guided by OBE education philosophy,the process of engineering micro-course design is constructed from the links of teaching objectives,demand analysis,unit division,teaching design,script design,its use and evaluation.On this basis,the closed-loop operation mechanism of engineering micro-course continuous improvement is constructed to form the internal mechanism of engineering micro-course design continuous improvement.According to the designed engineering micro-course design process,combined with the basic principles of steel structure course,the key and difficult knowledge——“characteristics of steel structure” is selected to carry out the micro-course teaching design practice.Furthermore,the flipped classroom teaching concept is introduced to construct a teaching application paradigm based on engineering micro-courses.The teaching mode of traditional engineering class is previewing before class-listening to lectures in class-reviewing and completing exercises after class.The classroom teaching model based on engineering micro-courses moves knowledge learning forward,requires students to complete knowledge learning and online testing before class,summarize existing problems,interact with teachers and classmates in class to complete knowledge internalization,and expand and apply knowledge after class.Finally,in order to understand the engineering micro-course teaching effect and the students' satisfaction with the micro-course platform system and the platform interaction,40 students were selected in a voluntary way for a two-week experiment.In accordance with the rules of the prior knowledge,the 40 students who participated in the experiment were divided into high readiness group and low readiness group.These students were asked to use Air Course platform or Super Star plat form for online learning before class,and then fill out the system usability scale(SUS)and interactive satisfaction scale(QUIS).According to each quiz of the participants,the academic performance was analyzed.The experimental results show that the micro-course platform learning in conjunction with the classroom teaching can help improve students' academic performance.
