In recent years,China's resident income gap is widening, which is not conducive to social harmony and stability. One of the manifestations of the residents' income gap is the wage differentials between the stateowned and non-state-owned sectors, and the difference in the wage determination mechanism is an important reason for the wage differentials between sectors. The study on the causes of the wage difference between different departments and the changing trend of wage difference is helpful to deepen the understanding and understanding of the operation law of the labor market, and make suggestions for narrowing the income gap of residents and China's economic growth. Some scholars have discussed the wage differences between state-owned and non-state-owned sectors, but there is no consistent conclusion on the changing trend of the overall wage differentials between the two sectors. Some studies show that the change trend of departmental wage difference is characterized by periodic changes, that is,the change trend of departmental wage difference is not obvious. With the increase of years,China's marketization level is also improving, but the existing literature does not describe the specific impact of marketization on the wage differentials between departments. Therefore, this article takes the changing trend of the wage difference among migrant workers' departments as the entry point to deeply explore the influence of marketization on the wage differentials among departments.Firstly, this article uses the survey data of floating population in 2013,2015 and 2017 to construct the wage equation of migrant workers' departments for analysis. The regression results from year to year show that migrant workers from non-state-owned sectors have higher characteristic returns of human capital. The high degree of marketization of the regional migrant workers wage advantage is more obvious. The results show that the characteristic difference explains the department wage difference to a greater extent.Generally, although the wage difference shows a general trend of decreasing in the process of marketization, the changes of wage premium in different departments are not consistent.Secondly, this article uses the 2015 floating population survey data to construct the multi-level linear wage equation of the two departments. The regression results show that those with the same education have a wage advantage in the non-state sector.Migrant workers in the two sectors failed to achieve "equal pay for equal work".The improvement of regional marketization plays a positive role in promoting the wage increase of migrant workers in both sectors, and marketization plays a more important role in the wage decision of employees in non-state-owned sectors. With the improvement of regional marketization, the educational returns of migrant workers in the state-owned sector have been improved higher than those in the non-stateowned sector. The above results reveal the convergent trend of wage difference. The results show that the average wage of migrant workers in the state-owned sector is 6.39% higher than that in the non-state-owned sector. With the increase of income level, the wage premium tends to decrease.Generally, marketization helps to realize the "equal pay for equal work" between the state-owned and non-state-owned sectors and the promotion of regional marketization helps to reduce the wage differentials among rural migrant workers between sectors.Subsequently, this article uses the 2015 floating population survey data to construct the stratified quantile wage equation of the two departments. The regression results show that the non-state sector has higher return on education and work experience than the state sector in every wage scale. With the increase of the wage level, the marketization level in high areas has a decreasing effect on the individual wage of migrant workers. With the increase of wage income, the interactive effect of marketization degree and education degree on individual wage increases gradually. The regional marketization level has a greater impact on the educational return of the high-income migrant workers than on the low-income groups, and the educational return of the state-owned sector has been significantly improved. The results show that the wage differentials between different sectors increases from low income to high income.Marketization is conducive to the realization of "equal pay for equal work" for migrant workers in the state-owned and nonstate-owned sectors, and this effect is more obvious in the middle and low-income groups. The improvement of regional marketization level is conducive to reduce the sectoral wage gap of middle and high-income migrant workers. In conclusion, the promotion of regional marketization helps to reduce the wage differentials among rural migrant workers between state-owned and non-stated-owned sectors. Therefore, continuing to push forward the comprehensive deepening reform led by the market economy will further narrow the wage gap of rural migrant workers between sectors. This will promote the rational and orderly operation of the labor market, give full play to the vitality of the labor market, and further promote the sound and rapid development of China's economy.
