Today,with economic globalization and urban-rural integration,with the new urbanization and urbanization community construction,China has entered a new stage of rapid urban development.At the same time of the rapid development of urbanization,competition among cities has become increasingly fierce.How to improve the influence and competitiveness of the city has become an important issue of concern to all sectors of society today.The construction of the city image includes political,economic,cultural,Society,ecological environment and other aspects such as food culture,people’s quality,tourism resources,government orientation and other elements.A good city image can attract social resources such as investment,talents,tourists and public attention.Thereby obtaining huge economic benefits and growth potential.The holding of large-scale sports events not only promotes the construction of the city,but also brings obvious“eyeball effect”to the city.The emergence of sports events has brought many advantages to the spread of the city image,and the dissemination and construction of the city image Positive role.The Wuhan Open(hereinafter referred to as "Wuwang")is one of the top three tennis tournaments in China.Its main event,the WTA Super Five Tour,is one of the top ten tennis events of the WTA.The emergence of Wuwang has accelerated the construction and dissemination of Wuhan’s urban image,and has gradually become the core to lead the development of Wuhan’s image.It has also become an important way to enhance the competitiveness and influence of Wuhan’s cities.At present,it is undoubtedly the best way to use the Wushu Games as the most active and influential component of Wuhan’s urban image.Based on Wuhan,this paper analyzes the current development status of Wuhan city image,discusses the multi-faceted factors affecting the construction of Wuhan city image through Wuhan Open,and then proposes the communication strategy of Wuwang on the construction of Wuhan city image,in order to Wuwang provides some basis and countermeasures for the spread of Wuhan city image.By analyzing the impact of the martial arts competition on the construction of Wuhan city image,the author sorts out the current situation and shortcomings of the martial arts competition on the construction of Wuhan city image,such as:the number of reports,the construction of the city image is not enough;In fact,there is a lack of entry points and topicality;in the dissemination of content,the construction of elements such as urban concept image,behavioral image,and visual image is not comprehensive.On this basis,the author proposes the communication strategy of Wuwang on the construction of Wuhan city image:First,integrate media resources,spread the urban image in all directions,multi-level and three-dimensional;second,through the dissemination of sports events,improve the construction of relevant elements of city image The third is to strengthen the ability of media event planning,enrich the content of urban image reports;the fourth is to stimulate the sense of identity and belonging of the citizens,and to promote the promotion of urban culture;the fifth is to enhance the influence of the brand of the event and promote the spread of the image of the city.
