Application Research On The Decision Tree Algorithm In The Analysis Of Student's Achievement

With the rise of data mining,it has been applicated in the field of education and it have achieved good effect.As educational data,student's achievement data and teaching management data attract more attention from researchers.People begin to realize that educational data can't only stay in the stage of storage,query and simple statistical stage.In practical teaching,finding out the problems or the factors becomes the key solution of improving the teaching quality.Researchers try to use different methods to evaluate and measure the whole teaching process to find out the existent problems.Then we should explore the potential and valuable information which exists in these educational data to improve teaching quality and promote the development of students.In my research,I choose the achievement of "Modern Educational Technology Application" as object,I put forward my research presupposition which students' gender,subject nature,teacher's title,class size setting,and each part of the results will have an impact on students' achievement by summarizing existing data and information I establish a database by combining the existing data and information and use C4.5algorithm,a kind of decision tree algorithm,to explore these data,according to the specific research to establish the three corresponding decision tree models which test result?usual result and the final result of course,the proportion of each part of the usual result and the usual result,class size setting ? students' gender ? subject nature and teacher's title in order to verify my research presupposition.These models are used to explore whether the five factors will have an impact on students' achievement and solve the problem:What are the impacts of these factors?Then I will put forward suggestions combining the knowledge of teaching evaluation to provide reference for teachers and students in order to improve their educational technology ability.Meanwhile these models can provide data support,it will help to improve the quality of teaching.
