At present,Chinese sports reports present a subtle "interaction-check and balance" relationship.On the one hand,sports reports should follow the journalism paradigm.On the other hand,due to the special characteristics of Chinese sports culture,sports reports present more "national characteristics" compared with western sports reports.And when sports industry is developing with the media industry,the economic field also influences the Chinese sports reports.Therefore,the process of news production in China is often affected by these factors.This paper takes reports about sports figures as the "window",and attempt to observe and summarize the consistent rules of Chinese sports reports by analyzing the reports when these athletes/sports teams faced peaks or troughs,scandals or accidents.Tuchman pioneered the concept of "news routine".She regarded the operation of news routine as another form of social construction and social resources,which not only guides the daily work of journalists,but also maintains normal and orderly operation of media.The paper adopts the theory of "news routine",combined with the research methods of content analysis and frame analysis.There are six frameworks conforming to Sun Yang and the Chinese Women Volleyball Team’s reporting characteristics:the framework of political and economic impact,the framework of conflict and responsibility,and the framework of sports professionalism as well as humanity.Under the framework of competition and dispersion,as a national symbol,the four media images of Chinese Women Volleyball Team are presented respectively:"national heroes entering the altar","frustrated people under circuitous tactics","a completely defeated army outwardly strong and inwardly weak"and"dreamchasers who love volleyball".Besides,these reports view Sun Yang who lives in the vortex of interests as"the rising sun of china","rebellious bad boy in chinese swimming circle","rule-breaking business player".From the evolution of athletes’media image and the change of their framework,it is found that the traditional media represented by paper media all present the news routine of "sports-politics" or "sports-politics-economy" under the influence of economic power such as capital and market.The media tends to use the typical reporting paradigm to construct the heroic image of gold medal athletes,to exaggerate the constant value of national identity in different times,to show the "news bias" of maintaining sports system and champion athletes under the leadership of elite class,and to combat weaknesses as well as hyping anonymous speech.At the same time,news routines have also changed in the changes of media ecology and social environment.And ideology has been selectively used and excluded.Economic interests not only impact sports professionalism,but also enrich the connotation of sports,and create a more comprehensive and three-dimensional image of sports figures.However,in the current environment of news innovation in which new media technology reshapes public life,technology has brought profound changes to the field of media production.PGC and UGC have both impacted and integrated with each other.It is necessary for us to return to the scene of media production under the Internet,and to explore the issue of where news routine go.
