With the rapid development of modern society,the traditional education teaching mode is no longer fully applicable,and the curriculum education concept for students is constantly being reformed.The new curriculum reform requires improving the subjectivity of students and implementing the education concept of taking students as the main body and teachers as the mainstay.However,as far as the author observes,under the influence of the traditional indoctrinating teaching mode and the pressure of the college entrance examination,the awareness of high school students and primary and middle school students is significantly reduced.Most high school students have become accustomed to passively accepting knowledge,rarely thinking in the classroom,and learning is not efficient.There are many factors influencing students’ participation in the biology classroom.On the one hand,teachers’ professional quality,teaching methods,teacher-student relationship,teaching environment,classroom atmosphere and teachers’ evaluation of students have a great influence on students’ enthusiasm for learning.On the one hand,students’ own importance to biology,their interest,their ability to think independently,and their preference for biology teachers also affect their participation in the biology classroom.The reform of basic education curriculum in China requires students to become the true masters of the classroom in the new era,to achieve the main status of students,and teachers should provide assistance for the overall development of students.Therefore,as a teacher,it is necessary to have the thoughts and awareness of improving students’ participation in the classroom,and to carry out effective student participation learning activities.This paper adopts practical methods such as classroom observation,interviews and questionnaire surveys,and uses Huangshi No.7 middle school as the object of empirical research.and analyzes the reasons and factors affecting students’ low participation in classrooms.Furthermore,the design of biological teaching cases and several strategies to improve the participation of students in the classroom weredesigned.Finally,the effectiveness of the strategy was tested and verified,and it is hoped to provide some effective help for the teaching of high school biology.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction.It introduces the paper’s problem,the research status at home and abroad,the purpose and significance of the research and the innovation of this paper.The second part is the research method used in writing the thesis.The third part is about the theoretical study of students’ participation in class,including the definition of the concept of student participation and the theoretical basis for conducting this research.The fourth part is to investigate the current participation of students in high school biology classrooms,to clarify the methods and investigation ideas used in the investigation process,and to analyze the factors affecting students’ participation in high school biology classrooms,and then to improve the students’ classrooms.Participation in biology teaching cases.The fifth part is to post-test the research and put forward several teaching strategies to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the strategy.The sixth part is the conclusion part of this thesis.It mainly introduces the conclusions of this research,the shortcomings and prospects in the research process.
