With the evolution of the new round of global scientific and technological revolution,the demand for innovative talents increases in various countries.In June 2016,the ministry of education issued the 13 th five-year plan for educational informatization,which clearly proposed to actively explore the application of emerging education models such as maker education and promote the practice of maker education in primary and secondary schools,thus setting off an educational reform based on the concept of maker.However,in the process of practice,the contradiction between maker education and traditional teaching system gradually becomes prominent,and problems such as insufficient teachers for makers,difficulty in the development of maker activities,and difficulty in integration with traditional disciplines arise.In the face of such a situation,the author hopes to deeply understand the real situation of maker education in primary and secondary schools through investigation and research in a certain region,master the overall level of maker education in this region,and put forward relevant Suggestions in view of existing problems,so as to help the sustainable development of maker education in primary and secondary schools.This study firstly summarizes the domestic and foreign researches on maker education,understands the current research status,clarifies the research content of this paper,and defines relevant concepts such as maker,maker space and maker education.Secondly,the dimensions of the survey were sorted out,the research scheme was formulated,and the interview outline and questionnaire were designed in combination with the relevant guiding opinions of the surveyed areas.In addition,with the assistance of the local education bureau,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 87 maker teachers in 47 primary and secondary schools in L district,and the development of maker education in primary and secondary schools in this region was objectively analyzed from six dimensions including maker teachers,maker courses,maker space,maker achievements,overall planning and subjective feelings.Finally,according to the problems reflected in the survey results,relevant strategies and Suggestions are put forward,hoping toprovide help for the development of maker education in this region and other regions.After research,the following conclusions are drawn in this paper:(1)Although maker education in primary and secondary schools in L district started late,all schools have actively explored it.The comprehensive analysis of the survey results shows that some achievements have been made in space construction,student works and curriculum implementation.However,there are four outstanding problems in maker teachers,maker courses,maker achievements and overall planning.Maker course resources are limited and class hours are insufficient;Schools develop in isolation and lack of regional cooperation;Lack of policy support and guidance,systematic construction to be improved.(2)According to the problems reflected in the survey results,combined with relevant theories and practical experience,appropriate suggestions are put forward from the four aspects of policy,management,talent and philosophy: strengthening the continuity of policy and promoting the systematic construction of maker education;Standardize curriculum implementation,reasonably allocate space equipment,actively use multiple resources,and implement reasonable incentive measures;Strengthen teacher training,pay attention to talent introduction;Continue to promote discipline integration,return to the essence of maker education,pay attention to the combination of emotional education.
