A Study On The Attacking Characteristics Of The Final Four Teams Of The 2018 World Cup In Russia

FIFA's quadrennial men's World Cup is the highest level of football in the world.It can fully show the four years to the world men's football skills and tactics of the changes in the game,but also reflect the development direction and trend of men's football.The 2018 World Cup in Russia is the first time FIFA has introduced VAR(video assistant referee)technology into the tournament.With the support of VAR technology,whether the referee's decision will have an impact on the team's technical and tactical play has attracted worldwide attention.The attacking characteristics of the top 4 teams in this World Cup are different from each other,including the choice of position attack,defensive counterattack and set pieces.Therefore,the tactics of the matches are also different,which are worthy of our full study and reference.This paper USES the method of literature review,video observation method,mathematical statistics,expert interview method,comparative analysis research methods,such as the World Cup semi-finals in 2018 Russia team offensive characteristics is analyzed,including the group stage and the knockout stages of the game,from ground attack,attack quickly,set-piece attacks,passing,possession of a comprehensive study and analysis,as well as the 2014 Brazil World Cup semi-finals on offense characteristics for comparative analysis research.This paper tries to find out the offensive characteristics of this World Cup and the development trend of the attack mode of the world's highest level team,so as to find the direction for our country to improve the competitiveness of football competition.This paper comes to the following conclusions:(1)the total number of goals scored in this World Cup is less than that in the previous World Cup,but the number of goals scored by the top four teams in this World Cup is more than that in the previous World Cup.(2)position attack is still the main attack and scoring means of this World Cup,but compared with the last tournament has decreased.Its attack is mainly launched through the middle and back of the field of tackle or break the ball.The main forms of attacking organization are wide crosses,long balls and short balls.When the position attack develops to zone 2 and zone 3 for shooting,the possibility of breaking the goal is the greatest,especially in zone 2,closer to the goal,the accuracy of shooting is higher.(3)fast attack is also a kind of attack organization method with more goals in this tournament,and its attack is mainly launched from the attack and tackle of the front and center field or the quick counter attack of the organization after breaking the ball.Among them,the direct long pass and the short pass fast advancement is the most main advancement way,but in the front front attack mainly is the short pass fast advancement,in the middle back field attack is the direct long pass realization.In a fast attack,the best area to score a goal is also zone 2.(4)set-piece attack is also the World Cup top 4 teams score more of an offensive means.The four teams in the free-kick attack tend to be more tactical cooperation rather than choose direct shot,which is related to the area of the free-kick and the distance from the goal.Non-direct shot free-kicks are basically 3 and 4-zone penalty.The four teams were more likely to choose tactical corners when taking penalties,with most of the corners going to the front and middle and scoring more goals in the middle zone.(5)through the comparative analysis of various indicators,it is found that as the champion of this tournament,France is not outstanding in many data,even ranked low,but they won the championship in the end,which is the victory of France's technical and tactical choice,at the same time,it tells us that modern football games emphasize more practicality,simple and clear.(6)the influence of VAR technology on this World Cup is mainly reflected in the extension of injury time and the increase of the number of penalty calls.(7)the possession rate can not directly determine the number of goals in the game and the outcome of the trend.In this World Cup,a number of teams in possession of the low rate of the situation to obtain better results.
