In psycholinguistics, the study of reading comprehension has always been an important field. In language, words,as the smallest unit that can be used independently and have meaning, are the basis of sentence comprehension and even the whole text comprehension in reading. Therefore, vocabulary recognition is a key link in reading. To recognize words,it was necessary to complete the segmentation and boundary confirmation of words,so as to determine the relationship between them.Word segmentation refers to the cutting of continuous statements into different parts(liu bo,2017).The mechanism of vocabulary recognition in reading comprehension was the focus of controversy among researchers. The direct access hypothesis believes that the word recognition can be completed without the participation of speech. The speech intermediary hypothesis and the two-channel hypothesis believe that the participation of speech will have an impact on the word recognition. Therefore, this study examines the influence of text segmentation on reading comprehension through audio-visual integration.Experiments using 2(segmentation: is there a text segmentation, segmentation text)×3(voice location: voice before the visual presentation, speech after the visual presentation, and at the same time rendering)of experimental design, two factors had no investigation under the condition of adding voice variables have no segmentation under the condition of Chinese text segmentation and reading efficiency, experiment 2 used 3(segmentation type: word segmentation, word segmentation, character segmentation)×2(segmentation methods: space, slash)subjects in the experimental design of two factors, the audio-visual integration under the condition of different segmentation conditions to study the influence on reading comprehension. The first experiment shows that the speech sounds that appear before the text presentation have a positive effect on the reading comprehension of the text, which indicates that there may be a speech mediation effect in Chinese.Speech may promote the recognition of key words in sentences. The recognition of words by the subjects no longer only depends on the observation of glyphs, while the presentation of speech after the text has no significant influence on reading. The results of experiment 2 show that, under the condition of simultaneous presentation of speech and text, compared with non-word segmentation and word segmentation, word segmentation sentences with interword Spaces show significant differences. This indicates that correct phonetic information can help readers to recognize words when both phonetic information and glyph information are received at the same time. The following conclusions are drawn :(1)speech sounds have an impact on reading processing, and the speech sounds presented before the text can promote the processing of reading comprehension;(2)under the conditions of different segmentation methods and segmentation identification methods, speech variables will have an impact on lexical recognition, among which the text reading efficiency with space as segmentation identification method is higher than other identification methods.
