A Study On College Students' Moral Construction In The Perspective Of Virtue And Moral Conduct

General Secretary Xi pointed out: “A country without virtue won't thrive,a man without virtue can't stand in the society.”Moral construction is said to be the priority of human education,because it not only strengthens human development,also promotes the development of the whole country.College students are a mainstay of a country's social development,are shouldering the task of construction of the country,therefore,the moral construction of college students is closely connected with a country's future.This thesis studies moral construction of college students from the perspective of ethics of virtue and moral conduct,it is a reflection on the problem of moral construction of colleges and universities.Ethics of textual research of the connotation of virtue and moral conduct and their relation are the bases of a study of college students' moral construction.Virtue is the internalization of external ethics,as well as the moral trait that exists in the form of spirit,while moral conduct are people's behaviors conducted under the guidance of virtue.Virtue is gradually formed in the practice of moral conducts,and moral conducts are guided by the virtue,both of them interweave with each other.The relationship between virtue and moral conducts,the socialist core values,the Citizen Moral Construction Implement Outline together with Chinese excellent traditional culture are theoretical bases of college students' morals.Specifically speaking,in the scope of virtue,college students' morals include: filial piety and respect for teachers;respect for the old and love to the young;forgiveness for others;kindness and braveness;adherence to promises;hard work and self-improvement;sense of shame;gratefulness.While in the scope of moral conducts,college students' morals include:being good and kind to others;being benevolent and helping others;not tempted by interests;being devoted,courteous and honest;conforming to regulations;beingdiligent and thrifty;seeking truth;studying hard.It is found that college students' moral status quo is worth praising,most college students perform well with regard to patriotism,being helpful,enterprising and hardworking,but there still exists some students' bad morals which can't be ignored,such as,weak moral willpower,being self-centered,wrong learning purposes,separation between cognition and practice,etc.On the basis of the relationship between virtue and moral conduct and specific requirements of college students' morals,the paper focuses on negative moral phenomenon and analyzes the countermeasures to perfect moral construction of college students from three aspects: emphasizing the subject status of college students' morals,developing good moral habits through practice,and playing the leading function of college education.
