With the increasing development of educational theory and the deepening of educational reform,many scholars and teachers begin to realize that the inquiry ability plays a very positive role in opening students' intelligence and promoting their all-round development.In 2007,the concept of “inquiry ability” was formally put forward in National Enrollment Examination Syllabus for Senior High Schools and inspected as a level of examination ability.The cultivation of inquiry ability was highly strengthened.The New Chinese Curriculm Standard for Senior High School(2003)also clearly states that as an important part of high school Chinese literacy,it is imperative to further develop senior students' inquiry ability,which needs to adopt scientific and systematic teaching methods and development paths.Baesd on the specific class reading teaching cases of literary works in senior high school,this paper emphasises the importance of cultivating students' inquiry ability and tries to find a practical way to fully improve senior high school students' Chinese literacy,which is expected to be reference value.Therefore,from this point,this study can not only clarify the relationship between inquiry ability and Chinese literacy,but also promote the all-round improvement of both sides,thus solving the problem of integration and upgrading of inquiry ability and Chinese literacy.This paper is mainly divided into four parts.The Introduction mainly discusses the significance of the study and defines the key words,listing the research methods and summarizing related researches at home and abroad.The first part analyzes the fundamantal elements of senior high students' inquiry ability in reading literary works,and forms the basic training frame.The second part investigates and describes the current trainingsituation and analyzes the potential reasons.In the third part,according to the theoretical framework and present situation of inquiry ability as well as the author's teaching practice,the principles,ideas and strategies of the cultivation of senior high students' inquiry ability in literature reading are discussed.The final conclusion summarizes the whole paper,relflects some insufficiency and prospect the future research.
