The relationship between reading and writing has always been the focus of teaching and research.However,read what,read how much,how to read are more conducive to the improvement of writing level.How does effective migration occur between reading and writing? There is still a need for in-depth study on such issues,especially quantitative research,in order to provide more reliable evidence for relevant teaching decisions.The study is conducted on 163 fifth-grade primary school students in an ordinary public school.The author understands the extracurricular reading situation of these students in the form of questionnaire survey,and sorts out the data.At the same time,the author collects the students' daily work materials,and based on the existing evaluation index system of writing level,proposes the index system for the evaluation of the level of students' work in the fifth grade,and then assigns the collected student work materials.Then,the data of students' extracurricular reading and writing level are input into the computer one by one,and the statistical software is used for correlation analysis.In addition,the author interviews five teachers of different ages and titles to understand their views on this issue.Finally,according to the results of data analysis and interviews,some suggestions to improve the level of the exercises are proposed.Through data analysis and interviews,four conclusions are drawn: First,there is a positive correlation between extracurricular reading time and writing level.Second,different reading habits have different effects on writing level.Reciting words,memorizing sentences,and making comments have a positive effect on writing level.However,there is no excerpt.Third,the influence of different types of books on writing level is different.There is a positive correlation between the classic masterpieces,historical books and imaginary compositions.The science fiction books and the imaginary composition are positively related.While,there is a negativecorrelation between picture books and writing essays,person essays and landscape essays.Fourth,the influence of attention on the level of the work is different.Focusing on the sentence making sentence has the greatest influence on writing level,paying attention to the content plot,paying attention to the rhetorical method,paying attention to the characters is lower in turn.Based on the above conclusions,the author puts forward suggestions for improving the level of work from the perspectives of extracurricular reading and literacy.Suggestions from the perspective of extracurricular reading include:cultivating students' long-term adherence to extracurricular reading,managing and expanding the time for extracurricular reading,guiding the selection of extracurricular reading books,guiding extracurricular reading.Suggestions from the perspective of literacy migration are as follows: to read by using reading list,to play a bridge role in oral expression,and to learn a model that can be imitated.
