| Generalized trust is the trust of the overwhelming majority of the society.It points to strangers who are not directly connected,rather than specific groups such as relatives and friends.It is the basis for the smooth integration of modern society.With the advent of the era of strangers,the crisis of trust has now permeated the entire society,and it has a relatively negative impact on the active aging of the elderly.Therefore,studying the influencing factors of the generalized trust of the elderly is not only a realistic reflection on social changes,but also a policy thinking on active aging.The existing research discusses the relationship between cultural tradition,social economy,government performance and generalized trust from the macro level,while at the micro level,it discusses the relationship between individual social status,personal social network,personal social mentality and generalized trust.On the basis of refining the existing research viewpoints,we conduct research on the three aspects of resource factors,moral foundation factors and social connection factors to theoretically integrate different influencing factors.Among the resource factors,we mainly examine the influence of personal resources and public resources enjoyed by the elderly on their generalized trust.Among the moral foundation factors,we mainly examine the influence of optimistic world view and egalitarian value on the generalized trust of the elderly.Among the social connection factors,we mainly examine the influence of vertical relationship networks and parallel relationship networks on the generalized trust of the elderly.We use the survey data of Chinese General Social Survey data in 2015 as the data source of this study,and use SPSS21.0 statistical software to conduct descriptive statistical analysis and regression analysis.Descriptive statistical analysis mainly investigates the distribution of variables and shows their distribution characteristics.The regression analysis mainly investigates the degree of influence of each category of variables.We establish multiple sets of binary logistic regression models to investigate the regression analysis results of single-category variables,the regression analysis results of single-category variables after applying control variables,theregression analysis results of dual-category variables,the regression analysis results of dual-category variables after applying control variables,the regression analysis results of three-category variables,and the regression analysis results of three-category variables after applying control variables.By comparing the differences in the results of different models,we examine the impact of variables and their robustness.We have the following findings.Among the resource variables,the impact of objective socio-economic status is different: the degree of education has a U-shaped influence on the generalized trust of the elderly,the CCP membership has a positive impact on the generalized trust of the elderly and the income level had a negative impact on the generalized trust of the elderly.In addition,the number of sons born and the government’s basic public service supply also have a positive impact on the general trust of the elderly.Among the moral foundation variables,anti-authoritarian values can not enhance the generalized trust of the elderly,personal happiness has a positive impact on the generalized trust of the elderly,social justice also has a positive impact on the generalized trust of the elderly.Among the social connection variables,the status of community residents’ communication has a positive impact on the generalized trust of the elderly.Among demographic control variables,gender has the strongest impact.Comparing all the influencing factors,we can find that the influence of moral basic factors is greater than resource factors and social connection factors.Based on the research results,the corresponding policy interventions also focus on the use of various measures to promote social equity,enhance the personal well-being of the elderly,improve basic public services,and strengthen community building. |
