In the process of mathematics teaching in junior middle school,concepts are often proposed in advance of related properties,theorems and formulas.Other relevant knowledge is based on the given concepts.Mathematical concepts are an important part of the basic knowledge of mathematics and the basis and core of the theoretical system of mathematics.The birth of every mathematical concept is a classic case of finding and solving problems;the birth of every mathematical concept is the reproduction of the mathematician's inquiry thinking process;the birth of every mathematical concept is a progress and leap of mathematics.Inquiry is an important way for students to learn mathematical concepts,an important way for students to learn knowledge,and an important way for students to understand and change the world.Inquiry promotes students to observe,guess,reasoning,validation,application and so on.It also promotes students to actively participate in learning,thus enhancing students' core literacy.Starting from theory and practice,this paper uses literature research,questionnaire survey,interview survey and experimental research to study the inquiry teaching of mathematical concepts in junior high school.This paper summarizes the relevant research status at home and abroad,clarifies the relevant concepts,explores the theoretical basis of the research,puts forward the principles of inquiry teaching of mathematical concepts,and designs the basic links and action plans.Finally,the author carries out case studies and experimental studies through personal practice teaching to provide theoretical reference,specific teaching cases and basic models for effective teaching.This paper carries out the concept of "people-oriented","students are the main body,teachers are organizers,collaborators and guiders".Teachers should guide students to observe and discover independently,explore independently,learn new concepts by analogy with existing knowledge and experience,generalize the essential attributes of things,apply new concepts to solve practical problems,and establish a network of mathematical concepts.It is hoped that through the research of inquiry teaching of mathematical concepts,students will change the status quo of tired of learning mathematical concepts and mechanical memory of mathematical concepts,change the way students learn mathematical concepts,and improve their interest and confidence in learning mathematics.It is also hoped that through the research of inquiry teaching of mathematical concepts,students will improve their ability to communicate with others and cooperate with others.How to combine inquiry teaching with traditional teaching remains to be further studied.
