The development of education and teaching depends on the excellent teacher training.As the key link of teacher training,the field experience is not only an important concern of teacher education reform,but also very important to the development of education and teaching.The field experience is an important way for students to grow from a prospective teacher to a professional teacher,which is of great significance to the improvement of their professional knowledge,the cultivation of teaching skills and the establishment of professional emotion.The stage of elementary education is in the foundation and critical period of the development of human body and mind,and the United States has always attached great importance to the reform of elementary education and the training of its teachers.The undergraduate elementary education major of the University of Wisconsin-Madison has been in the forefront of development,formed a more perfect field experience system.Compared with the short development of elementary education field experience in our country,there are still many deficiencies in theory and experience.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the field experience of undergraduate elementary education major in University of Wisconsin-Madison.Based on the background of field experience,this thesis studies the field experience of undergraduate elementary education major in University of Wisconsin-Madison by mainly using the methods of literature research and case analysis.Firstly,this thesis presents the background of field experience about University of Wisconsin-Madison through its historical evolution and theoretical support,and then elaborates the current situation of field experience of the University of Wisconsin-Madison,described from the establishment of standards,content,organization implementation,evaluation and management.Furthermore,the characteristics and difficulties of field experience are analyzed from the present situation.Finally,it compares the existing problems of the field experience of elementary education major in the undergraduate level of China and puts forward feasible suggestions for reference.It updates the concept of field experience,attaching importance to practice and reflection,then optimizes the structure of field experience,creates an internship community and finally improves the guarantee system of field experience.
