After American Civil War,the black people who had gained freedom did not really have the same rights as white citizens.Southern blacks were organized to fight racial segregation and racial inequality.National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is one of the most influential groups.In the 1930 s,NAACP focused its attention on the field of education and found breakthroughs in the field of higher education firstly.Accompanied by the ensuing struggle into trouble,the emergence of Sipuel v.Bd.of Regents of the Univ.of Okla injected new vitality in the field of higher education.This article takes the case Sipuel v.Bd.of Regents of the Univ.of Okla as the research object,in which historical method,literature method and case study method are used.It revolves around the theme of education equality,using the initiation of the case,the trial process in Oklahoma State and the Supreme Court and the implementation process in Oklahoma as clues,which makes the trial process and implementation process of the case detailed and in-depth.By demonstrating the positions,attitudes,and behaviors of all parties in the trial process,it interprets the difficulty of the black people struggling for equal rights and analyzes the driving force and resistance of victory.Meanwhile,the article points out that the root cause of educational inequality is deep-rooted racial discrimination.It is also indicated that the ultimate intrinsic motivation to break the embarrassment is the persevering struggle of the black people and the black groups who gradually obtain a higher social status.As an individual case,Sipuel v.Bd.of Regents of the Univ.of Okla also won a double victory in legal proceedings and enforcement,which contributed to the promotion of the blacks’ equal education rights and had a positive and far-reaching impact.
