| At present,the aging of population in China is becoming more and more serious,which brings some pressure to our economy,politics and culture.Guangxi province,as one of the western minority areas,has entered the aging society.Developing the urban community education and shifting the emphasis of the education for the elderly,improving the quality of the people,and letting the elderly to live a dignified life is helpful to relieve the pressure that brought by the aging of the population and to promote the harmonious development of the society and economy.First of all,in order to understand the current situation of urban community geriatric education,the author takes the literature research method,the questionnaire of the investigation and research method and the interview method as the main methods,and selects eight communities in Guilin city to carry out the investigation and research.The data obtained from the development of urban community education for the elderly lay a solid foundation for this study.Through the analysis of data and the interview data,it is found that the main problems of urban community geriatric education are as follows: lack of special funds;limited places of education;the elderly’s right to learn can not be guaranteed;the content of education is divorced from the needs;the contingent of teachers is still scarce;the form of education and training is relatively single;the shortage of full-time management staff.Secondly,see through the appearance to perceive the essence,and based on the above analysis,the attribution analysis obtained that the development of urban community education for the elderly affected by external factors is mainly including the following aspects: local laws and regulations are not comprehensive;local government’s insufficient attention;the confusion of management system and mechanism;publicity is not in place;ignore the learning needs of the elderly.The main factors affecting the elderly themselves are as follows: constraints of traditional concepts,physical and mental health,changes in marital status,low level of education,the decline in income level,and so on.These universal factors contribute to the low willingness of older persons to participate.Finally,in order to provide advice on promoting the development of urban community education for the elderly,from the government level,the community level and the elderly self level,the author aims at the cause of the problem and put forward the following countermeasures.From the government level: establish and improve relevant laws and regulations to guarantee the right to study for the elderly;increase the investment of special funds to boost the development of urban community education for the elderly;improve the management system and mechanism to promote the sustainable development of the elderly education in urban communities;strengthen the construction of teaching staff to promote the healthy development of the elderly education in urban communities.Form the community level: formulate management system and realizing standardized management;increase publicity to popularize the elderly education in urban communities;expand the service items for the elderly and to meet the learning needs of them.From the self level of the elderly:renew old people’s view of education and improving their participation;rational plan the leisure time and improve the promotion of happiness;develop the subjective initiative and realize the value of life.Moreover,the author rethinks and summarizes the whole process of this study.In the historical background of the aged tendency of the population,paying attention to the education of the aged is to focus on the healthy development of the old group.The research conclusions obtained in this study are expected to further improve the content of the community education system for the elderly and play a useful supplement. |
