The teacher's guides are important teaching resource that match the corresponding teaching materials and guide teachers in teaching activities.Good teacher's guides can help teachers better understand the design concept of the curriculum and the content structure of the textbook,and it is of great significance to the improvement of the classroom teaching effect.In this study,both the People's Education Press version and the American McGraw-Hill Education version of the biology teacher's guides were used as research objects.The qualitative text analysis and quantitative data analysis were combined to compare the two sets of teacher's guides.The text study found that in terms of frame structure,both the People's Education Press version and the McGraw all version use the chapter layout mode in the overall framework,from overall to specific,but the column setting of the McGraw-Hill Education version is more abundant than the PEP.In terms of layout design,the PEP teacher's guides adopt the traditional two-column typesetting,which is clearly organized;the McGraw-Hill Education version uses a combination of typesetting,that has rich colors,various charts and a more lively layout style.In terms of content presentation,the PEP teacher's guides analyzes the teaching objectives on a layer-by-level basis and gives certain teaching suggestions.But its content is relatively simple;the contents of the McGraw-Hill Education version focus on setting real situations and pay more attention to students' ability and thinking training,and implement a differentiated teaching strategy.In terms of supporting resources,the PEP edition is mainly based on websites and CD-ROMs.Relatively speaking,it has fewer types and is slower to be updated.But the Connect ED learning platform of McGraw provides rich and diverse electronic resources and teaching management tools.We constructed the evaluation index system of high school teacher's guides through the expert consultation method and expert ranking method,and established the corresponding weight.Based on the evaluation index system,a further quantitative analysis of the two edition of teacher's guides is carried out.The study found that the overall evaluation of the teacher's guides by the reviewers is lower than that of the Mcgraw edition,and there are significant differences.Among them,the evaluators have a higher evaluation on the "auxiliary function" of the teacher's guides and the "characterization function" of the Mcgraw edition of the teacher's guides,and the evaluation of the "evaluation function" index is low.The results of quantitative research are basically the same with those of text research.According to the characteristics of the two edition of high school biology teachers' guides,the paper puts forward that the writing of teachers' books in China needs rich column forms,updates the existing content,designs the layout reasonably,increases the electronic resources,provides various evaluation methods,and pays attention to the evaluation of "teaching" and "learning",and provides various teaching suggestions and comprehensive promotion of students' accomplishment.
