In China,numerous studies have been focus on the academic honesty of university students.However,although recent studies have promoted the level of college students' honesty,the situation of lacking academic honesty is still very serious.This paper studies the academic integrity of contemporary college students with the viewpoint of bottom line ethics.The bottom line ethics is the most basic behavior norm and basic moral obligation,which all the members of society should follow,and it is also the basic premise of human beings.In this thesis,we will mainly focus on the study of integrity,which is one of the bottom line ethics.The bottom line ethics,based on the secular morals of the real society puts forward the basic moral requirement to the college students,and its related moral education theory has certain reference significance to the study of the contemporary college students' academic honesty.Therefore,From the bottom line ethical perspective,this thesis try to understand the current situation of university students' lack of academic honesty,to analysis of its deep-seated reasons,and to apply the bottom line ethics to academic honesty education,finally to improve the status of college students' academic honesty.This study is based on the current situation of the lack of academic integrity of contemporary college students,and explores the problem of honesty from the bottom line ethical perspective.And it is based on the questionnaire survey of five university students in A province.We grasp and study the current situation of college students' academic honesty from five dimensions including the moral cognition to academic honesty,moral emotion,moral beliefs,moral will,and moral behavior.According to the results of the survey,we analyze the related causes from the society,school,family,and university students themselves,then put forward the relevant resolutions.Specifically,the whole thesis can be divided into following five sections:The first part focuses on the bottom line ethics and the theory of contemporary university students' academic honesty.Based on the third chapter of "conscience" and the content of "bottom line ethics" written by Prof.He Huaihong,this thesis analyzes the connotation of "bottom line ethics" in detail,and then interprets the connotation of "honesty","Academic honesty" and "contemporary university students' academic honesty" according to the relevant research results.The second part mainly focuses on the relationship between the bottom line ethics and the contemporary university students' academic honesty.We try to explore the inner connection between the bottom line ethics and the contemporary university students' academic honesty on the basis of clarifying the relevant inner core concepts.The third part investigates the present situation of university students' academic honesty.After distributing the self-compiled questionnaire to full-time university students in five universities in A province,we use the statistical software SPSS24.0 to do descriptive statistical analysis and analyze the current situation of university students' academic honesty from the overall status of university students' academic honesty,the specific status of each dimension,and the comparison of different background.The forth part expounds the concrete manifestation and reasons of lacking academic honesty among contemporary university students.Combined with the results of the survey data,we analyzed the concrete performance of university students' lack of academic honesty from the perspective of the bottom line ethics.We also analyze the causes of lacking academic honesty among university students from four aspects including society,school,family and university students themselves.The Fifth part puts forward some solutions to improve the situation of lacking academic honesty among university students' from the perspective of the bottom line ethics.We draw lessons from the theory of honesty and integrity education in the bottom line ethical thought.And based on the reason of the lack of academic honesty among contemporary university students,we put forward some concrete solutions.
