The The life-oriented education is based on the students' existing life knowledge and experiences under the guidance of biological curriculum standards to explore and use the content closely related to daily life in junior high school biology teaching,and to take a link teaching method to students' actual life,and to keep students understand life and create even better life.This paper conducted life-oriented teaching application research in four classes of a junior high school in XX City.The grade seven students were chosen as the research objects,and the textbook of first volume of the People's Education Press as practical teaching materials.Through the questionnaires,interviews with students and teachers,the students' attitudes and cognitive status on life-oriented teaching were understood,and the situations of teachers' carrying out life-oriented teaching were also known.The resources of life-oriented teaching from textbook were collected.The case analysis,student exam scores before and after research was carried out.The main findings were as follows:(1)Prior to the application research on of life-oriented teaching,students' recognized life-oriented teaching,and they showed interests to it.The teachers sometimes created actual situations in the class.However,they did not take practical activities except textbook experiments because of the some limitations.It was not enough for the teachers to excavate life-oriented material in textbooks.(2)Life-oriented source materials were collected from the textbook to lay a foundation for the application research.(3)The effects of the life-oriented teaching were analyzed by the comparative method for students? performance after three months teaching practice,and it was found that the average scores and excellent rates of the experimental class were higher than those of the control class.In addition,the classroom atmosphere in the experimental class was more active,and the relationship between teachers and students was more harmonious.Students were more expressive in the experimental class.In summary,the students? interests in learning biology were obviously improved,and their self-learning ability was enhanced which promoted the overall development of students after life-oriented teaching application research.The biology teaching content of junior middle school was enriched,and the teaching quality was improved.It also provided basic data for better development of life-oriented teaching.
