Krupskaya,the former Soviet Union educator,once said: “Chorus is an important form of education that cannot be replaced.In many developed countries and regions,school choral activities are used as an important teaching task to cultivate students' noble sentiments and team spirit.”And for schools,choral education has the characteristics of low investment,easy operation,wide popularization and great significance.Energetic development of choral education activities can cultivate students' interest in classical music and improve teamwork awareness and collective spirit.In recent years,due to the education department's commitment to the infiltration of music education in primary and secondary schools,more emphasis has been placed on choral teaching,making choir an important part of the music curriculum.In this trend,Haikou City has begun to promote the teaching reform of chorus from many aspects,such as curriculum arrangement,activity design,and so on.However,in the process of internship and investigation,the author found that there are still some dissonant factors in the development of choral education in primary schools in Haikou.This article studies and analyzes the current status of choral teaching in six elementary schools in Haikou,sums up the universal problems existing in primary chorus teaching,and tries to propose a reliable program for chorus teaching in elementary school.This will promote more examples of choral education in primary schools in order to actively promote choral education in primary schools in Haikou.This article is divided into four chapters: The first chapter compares and analyzes the relevant contents of the chorus teaching in the "Compulsory Education Music Curriculum Standards"(experimental manuscripts)and the "Compulsory Education Music Course Standards"(2011 edition),finding out and interpreting the basic idea of chorus teaching embodied in the relevant standards.It also expounded the role played by chorus in the growth of pupils,which can effectively improve students' perception of music,cultivate students' longitudinal music thinking,and cultivate students' team spirit.The second chapter focuses on the status quo of choral education in primary school in Haikou City,makes survey design and displays the survey results,and uses questionnaire survey and interview survey as two research methods.Among them,the questionnaire survey analyzed the development of music lessons,the attitude of students to music lessons,and the atmosphere of school chorus.The interview survey summarized the problems in the teacher interviews from the basic situation of teachers,rehearsals of choirs,and the use of music textbooks.It also analyzes the compilation and characteristics of the chorus content in the textbook of the People's Education Press(edited version of the 2013 edition)adopted by Haikou Elementary School.The third chapter focuses on the drawbacks and shortcomings of choral teaching in these sample elementary schools.The fourth chapter gives the corresponding solutions based on the previous text,such as how to strengthen the awareness of the school and the level of training teachers,and points out that the next phase of teaching should focus on the cultivating students' singing,rhythm,and listening abilities and establishing a systematic mechanism on the chorus.
