Herbert Marcuse is one of the most representative figures of the western Marx doctrine,and is also the representative of the Frankfurt school.His aesthetic theory has a profound influence on the Frankfurt school and the later generations.He combined Marx's theory of alienation with Freud's psychoanalysis,forming a unique theoretical system of his own,in order to discover the true existence of the people in the modern society.Therefore,Marcuse placed his focus on people's attention to aesthetics,and art is the foundation of his aesthetic theory.Moreover,the unique charm of art plays a very important role in the aesthetic education of contemporary college students.The imagination,fantasy,creation,etc.of art,are particularly precious in the age of alienation controlled by the intangible cultural power.They urge people to go further to the free and complete people.In this paper,the theory of Marcuse's aesthetic thought is combed and studied,and the situation of his real life,that is,the reality of the environment,cognition and creativity of the college students in the process of aesthetic education,is deeply analyzed and discussed.The full text is divided into three parts: the first chapter mainly expounds the formation of Marcuse's aesthetic thought and the basic content of his aesthetic thought.The second chapter,based on Marcuse's aesthetic theory,analyzes the current situation and problems of College Students' aesthetic education in China.The third chapter aims to explore Marcuse's aesthetic theory and its enlightenment to college aesthetic education.From the art to the western developed industrial society,Marcuse's overall criticism,which design the human liberation and the great future of human vision from the art and aesthetic perspective.
