Mind mapping,as a kind of thinking tool initiated by the British Educator Tony Bozan,has demonstrated great practical value in various fields since its creation.After it was introduced into China,it has been widely applied in the field of education.Aiming to implement an in-depth study on the problems and optimization strategies for the mind mapping in the composition teaching of high grades in primary school,the paper selects the students and teachers in Grade 6 of Liyuan Primary School in Huaibei City as research objects,and carries on an investigatory study among them with the methods of questionnaire and interview.To deal with the problems existing in the teaching of Chinese Composition of high grades in primary school,the paper explores the organic bond of mind mapping and Composition teaching in the teaching of Chinese Composition.It was intended to seek an effective approach of arousing the students' interest in Composition class,improving students' creative thinking ability and prompting students to write proactively,so as to provide certain reference and guidance for the better application of mind mapping in the teaching process of high grades in primary school and other fields.
