The Employment Effect Of The Manufacturing Industry's Transformation And Upgrading In Jiangsu

Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has been optimizing and upgrading its industrial structure,transforming the way of economic development in an all-round way,and promoting the rapid development of the whole national economy.The steady growth of economy and the change of employment structure have also been the two important issues of economic and social development.Jiangsu's economy developed early,and its development in manufacturing industry is quite representative.According to s tatistics,the gross industrial output value of Jiangsu has accounted for over 84% of the gross output value of the second industry in recent 40 years.It can be seen that industry in Jiangsu province is the most important of the second industry,and is also the key to the transformation of the second industry.Along with economic development,there are obvious differences between regions,the economic growth of manufacturing industry is faster than that of employment growth,and the transformation of industrial structure is better than that of employment structure,even unemployment is widespread,which highlights many contradictions and problems.The industrial structure of manufacturing need further and deeper transformation and upgrading,the employment problem is becoming more and more serious,the employment quality needs to be improved.So whether the structural differences between regions can be reduced,whether the industrial structure and employment structure coordinated develop can directly affect the manufacturing economy's healthy and stable development.Therefore,it is of great significance to study how the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure of manufacturing industry influence the scale and the quality of employment.Based on the development of manufacturing industry in Jiangsu Province in the past 1978-2016 years,this paper studies the impact of industrial transformation on employment by qualitative and quantitative analysis,empirical analysis and normative analysis.The paper is divided into six chapters: the first part is the introduction,mainly from the background,significance and research methods of the research object.The second chapter focuses on the related concepts,theories and literature summary.Based on the measure indices of location quotient,employment elasticity,structure deviation,the third chapter studies development and collaborative relationship between industry structure and employment structure of Jiangsu's manufacturing;In the fourth chapter,a time-varying parameter model which Introduce the control variables is established to conduct empirical analysis.This part discusses how the three levels of industrial transformation and upgrading as well as control variables affect the scale of employment.In the fifth chapter,we first analyze the impact path of employment quality effect through AMOS,and then establish the mediator effect model and analyze the direct or indirect effects of industrial transformation and upgrading on employment quality through method of bootstrap.The sixth chapter,on the basis of empirical results,puts forward policy suggestions from two aspects of employment scale and employment quality.
