Student engagement is the product of the extended research of academic burnout.With the deepening of research,student engagement research is further refined,resulting in the detailed study of its main structural components.The study of students’ emotional engagement in the process of learning helps us to understand the students’ emotion deeply and grasp the students’ learning process better.However,because emotional engagement is a psychological input for students in learning process,it has a certain degree of indirectness,implicitness and activeness.Therefore,it has some measurement limitations and is difficult to research.Because of this,there are still few systematic studies on the emotional engagement of students in the learning process.This thesis tries to study students’ emotional engagement in learning process concretely on the basis of student engagement research,and mainly discusses the connotation,characteristics,influencing factors,structural elements and functions of emotional engagement theoretically.From the practical level,we use self-designed measurement tools to investigate the status quo and characteristics of junior middle school students’ emotional engagement in learning process,and on this basis,we propose relevant teacher guidance strategies.In addition to the part of introduction,this thesis consists of four parts,which are lists as follows.Part I:Analysis on the connotation of emotional engagement.First of all,this part analyses emotion and emotional engagement from the philosophical perspective,and the relationship between it with cognitional engagement and behavioral engagement.Secondly,the main characteristics of emotional engagement are expounded by reading domestic and foreign literatures.Then,on the basis of previous empirical research,the main influencing factors of students’ emotional engagement are summed up.Part 2:The structural elements and functions of emotional engagement.This part mainly analyzes the structural elements of emotion and the main structural elements of students’ emotional engagement from the perspective of students’ learning and development.Then it discusses the important role of emotional engagement in the students’ learning state,learning process and learning effect.Part 3:An investigation about emotional engagement in learning process of junior middle school students.This part is the empirical investigation of students’ emotional engagement.In order to understand the junior middle school students’ emotional engagement status and basic characteristics in their learning process,this thesis independently compiled the questionnaires were used to measure the emotional engagement of junior middle school students on the basis of the first two parts of the theoretical analysis as well as the domestic and foreign existing measurement tools.Part 4:Teachers’ guidance strategies of emotional engagement during the course of junior middle school students’ learning.According to the previous part of the theoretical analysis and the results of empirical investigation on students’ emotional engagement in the learning process,this thesis puts forward teachers can build up or adjust the level of emotional engagement in students’ learning process on the four progressive levels:stimulation、maintainance、enhancement and transformation.
