Learning is a permanent process.Learning ability is a comprehensive withdrawal of motivation and persistence.Learning ability can be defined as the psychological characteristics in education which can acquire knowledge and strategies and use them to solve the problems in learning activities.Mathematical learning ability can be defined as the psychological characteristics that in education which can acquire mathematical knowledge and strategies and use them to solve the mathematical problems in learning activities.The cultivation of students' learning ability has become our country pay more and more attention to the content of classroom teaching,it is a priority to evaluate the degree of mathematical learning,but understand the degree of students' ability in mathematical study,to work out the most suitable for students of education policy and content.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out scientific tests on students' mathematical learning ability.Currently,the Classical Test Theory(CTT)is the main theory of education measurement in China.Classical Test Theory developed maturely,and used widely,but still not perfect.Therefore,we need to search the new measurement theory in pedagogy which can solve the problems existing in Classical Test Theory.This new measurement theory is the Item Response Theory(IRT).Based on the theory of Item Response Theory,taking fifth grade students as an example,this study has compiled a set of scientific and effective mathematical learning ability test scale for the senior students' in primary school.At the same time,based on Classical Test Theory to analyze the data,the above processes are used to compare the advantages and disadvantages of Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory.The specific steps are as follows: Firstly,sort out ideas through collecting and reading literature.Second,construct the dimension index and project index of the measuring scale by interviewing teachers and experts.Then,compile the measuring scale preliminarily.After that,test the students and recover the test results.Finally,the data is analyzed,including: do score analysis by using Classical Test Theory,project analysis and test reliability analysis.Use the factorial analysis to verify the assumption of unidimensionality.Use Yen statistic to do model-data fit test.Estimate the project parameters by EM algorithm and then carry out the project selection.Determine the quality of the test by using information function and validity.The main achievement of this study is to compile a measuring scale that constituted by21 items for the senior students' mathematical learning ability in primary school.And it hasmany good qualities.The results conform to the assumption of unidimensionality.The data fits three-parameter model.The item parameter satisfies(27)(27)a5.20,b(10)??33-,c(27)5.2,.The maximum amount of information is over 10 on the capability interval of--]83.0,75.1[,and the estimation accuracy of mathematical learning ability is higher.
