Abstract/Summary:
Summer social practice of college students is an important part of ideological and political education which has an effective extension and supplement of college classrooms.Among all the social practice,the summer social practice has the characteristic of organizing the longest timing-organization,concentrated activities,rich contents and large number of participants.It is also an effective way for undergraduates to be educated and competent,make contribution and to enhance their sense of social responsibility.Dali University’s summer social practice education activities are closely related to the theme of the times and activities are carried out around the Erhai ecological protection,poverty alleviation,national unity,and ethnic exchanges.Summer social practice improve the moral quality,ideological and political quality,professional cultural quality,and physical and mental quality of college students and the abilities of learning,adaptability,interpersonal relationship development,organizational decision-making,innovation,career planning have been increased.It is also promoted the smooth development of educating people and cultivating talents in universities.This study takes Dali University as an example to investigate the status quo of summer social education and the functions of different types in Dali University based on the Marxist concept of practice,the overall development of man,and the combination of education and practice.This article discusses the connotation,type,function,development history and theoretical basis of college students’ summer social practice education through literature research,questionnaires,interviews and other methods by using ideological and political education,statistics,psychology,and other related disciplines comprehensively based on home and abroad.Finally,we analyzes the achievements,outstanding achievements,typical experiences and existing problems of Dali University students’ summer social practice education activities,and proposes effective measures for them.The research is shown that college students’ summer social practice education activities significantly improve students’ learning ability,adaptive ability,interpersonal relationshiptraining ability,physical and mental quality,and organizational decision-making ability based on empirical investigation.Dali University’s summer social practice and educating activities takes rich and colorful contents and the preparations are adequate.Dali University actively mobilized all forces to participate in the project and deepen cooperation outside school.It has distinctive characteristics,outstanding achievements,and rich experience and achievements.At the same time,there are also some problems,such as lack of professional theoretical knowledge and skill,lack of awareness of the summer social practice of educating people,practice content and assessment mechanism for educating people is not perfect.In response to the above problems,this paper proposes strategies for strengthening students’ self-education,improving its contents and methods,improving its mechanisms,and raising parents and society’s awareness of practicing educating people.This paper has great significance for improve Dali University’s summer social practice education activities.
