Chinese extracurricular reading plays an important role in Chinese teaching,Reading behavior outside all unexpected textbooks is called extracurricular reading.Its essence is non-language classroom material reading.The non-language classroom material reading is an important part of Chinese teaching,thus it has huge effect on the growth of teenagers and the formation of their philosophy and value.Teachers have the responsibility to cultivate Ss interest in reading and other hobbies,extensive reading can extend Ss horizon and improve their attainment,which benefit our culture develop further.As the new round of curriculum revolution is on.Extracurricular reading becomes increasingly important.On the study of Chinese extracurricular reading,there is a certain basis both at home and abroad.However,different regions and schools vary in the specific implementation process.The JT experimental high school which the author is in is a local secondary high school.Because most of the students come from rural areas,they have not developed reading habits in the childhood,so the reading environment of the school can not meet the reading needs of the students.Teachers do not form scientific guidance methods.Many reasons leading to the implementation of the Chinese language class reading is not ideal enough to keep pace with the times.According to the specific problems existing in JT experimental high school,the author makes a comprehensive investigation on the students and some teachers in three grades by questionnaire,teacher interviews and literature research.Based on the investigation data,this paper analyses the causes of the formation of extra-curricular reading in this school.According to the causes of the problems,it explores the strategies suitable for the improvement of extra-curricular reading in this school,hoping to help the students in this school to improve their reading outside the Chinese class.This paper is divided into four parts:the first part is from the question,the purpose.the significance,the research present situation of the topic at home and abroad.and the specific research methods of this paper to state and analyse in some aspects.In the second part,the author gives the guidance of the new curriculum standard and constructive theory to the student's Chinese reading.The third part takes"JT experimental High School"students present situation reading as an example.Using data and table to analyse the existing problems in the "JT experimental High School"from reading interest,reading content,reading source,reading habit,reading time,reading methods and reading purpose aspects respectively.Based on the existing problems,the author analyses the causes from the schools,teachers,families and students themselves.The fourth part,the author gives the strategies of improvement on the existing problems in"JT experimental High School"students reading from the school?teacher?students?parents.It makes the"JT experimental High School"students Chinese reading's expansion present lucidly.
