Tactical Analysis In Different Score-difference Games:Case Study Of Xuxin And Fan Zhendong

In this article,we use the method of literature reviewing,video observing,data statistics and comparative analyzing.Our study objects are two Chinese table tennis athletes,XU Xin and Fan Zhendong.And the content is about their tactics,ball-placement in competitions both domestic and abroad,from 2014 to 2017.We analyzed technical and tactical characteristics of three different scores in the games,which can provide reference for the improvement and development of competitive ability in the future.According to the research,we conclude as below:(1)The ball-placement combination of XU Xin is the same during games,but tactics are different.(2)XU Xin was active in attacking after serve.In big score-difference games,he mainly used forehand attack,while in medium and little score-difference games,he used sideways attack.During 3rd and 5th plates,he used forehand sideways in winning rounds,while no obvious rules in losing rounds.(3)XU Xin mainly used twist-hitting to receive the ball and scored.During 2nd and 4th plates,he mainly used sideways attack after controlling in big score-difference winning rounds,while he mainly used backhand attack after controlling in medium and little score-difference losing rounds.(4)As for the stage of stalemate,XU Xin used forehand in big and medium score-difference winning rounds,while backhand in losing rounds.In little score-difference winning rounds,he mainly used backhand while sideways in losing rounds.(5)FAN Zhendong served the drop short ball with forehand during games,and twist-hitting in receiving.As for the stage of stalemate,he mainly used backhand.But his tactics combination has some difference in attack after serve.(6)FAN Zhendong was active in attacking after serve.In big score-difference winning rounds,he mainly used forehand attack,while backhand attack in losing rounds.In medium and little score-difference games,he mainly used backhand attack.During 3rd and 5th plates,in big and medium score-difference winning rounds,he mainly used forehand receiving and backhand attack,while backhand attack in losing rounds.In little score-difference winning rounds,he mainly used continuous backhand.(7)During 2nd and 4th plates,FAN Zhendong mainly used drop shot and then backhand attack in winning rounds.In big score-difference losing rounds,he mainly used drop shot and then forehand attack.In medium and little score-difference losing rounds,he mainly used drop shot and then backhand attack.
