Statistical Analysis On The Difference Between Urban And Rural Labor Wages In China

Since reform and opening up,with the rapid and vigorous development of China's economy,the communication between urban and rural areas is deepening,the rural labor force is pouring into the urban labor market,and the unified labor market in our country is gradually forming.But the reality is due to many factors,there are great differences between rural labor force and urban labor wage income.In the urban labor market,whether there is a wage difference in urban and rural labor force,what are the factors that affect the wage difference,and what methods can reduce the wage difference between urban and rural labor force,these problems are urgently needed to solve.In view of the above problems,this paper,based on the microcosmic survey data of Chinese household income project(CHIP2013),firstly makes a descriptive statistical analysis on the factors that affect the wage difference between urban and rural labor force on the whole and in the sub industry,to see how the related factors are different,and then use the single factor variance analysis to study the urban and rural labor force.The salary difference is statistically significant.Secondly,according to the Mincer wage equation,the overall sample data of urban and rural labor and the sample data of the sub industry are analyzed,and the influence of different factors on the wage difference between urban and rural labor force is studied.Finally,the quantile regression model is used to analyze the influence factors of different wage levels,and the difference of the influence factors on the wage difference under different wage levels is studied.According to the results of the related analysis,the main reason for the difference in the wages of urban and rural labor is that the education level is different.The most effective way to reduce the wage difference between urban and rural labor is to improve the education level of the rural labor force,and the difference of work experience is an important factor which causes the difference of the wage of urban and rural labor force.The work experience of rural labor,especially those in the primary industry and the secondary industry,can improve the wages of rural labor and reduce the wage difference between urban and rural labor.The results also show that the difference of age,gender and health can also be reflected the wage between urban and rural labor force in different degrees.Finally,according to the relevant conclusions,this paper puts forward some suggestions on improving the education level of rural labor force,enriching the work experience of rural labor force,improving the health status of rural labor force and improving the influence of gender discrimination.
