With the prosperous development of China's economy and the continuous strengthening of the comprehensive national strength, all kinds of engineering projects show a trend of rapid development. The demand for engineering management talents from all industry is getting larger and larger, and the demand for their ability is getting higher and higher. In order to train senior engineering management talents, our country set up the master of Engineering Management(MEM)in 2010.Since the MEM was set up,each training unit and researchers have been particularly concerned about the training mode of MEM,carried out the research in many aspects, discussed the improvement of training mode and put forward some innovative suggestions. However, the research on the employment competitiveness of MEM,which can directly measure the effectiveness of MEM training,is overlooked and few reports about the study of the employment competitiveness of MEM can be found. As the competitiveness of employment is a comprehensive evaluation index, which is related to many factors, such as knowledge structure, personality and social needs, there is not a scientific and reasonable evaluation system. Therefore, this paper takes YN University MEM as the study object, through questionnaire survey and comparative analysis and some other methods, doing some research on the employment competitiveness of MEM graduates in YN University. Then we can explore a scientific, reasonable and clear evaluation system, and make some evaluations and feedbacks to promote the training mode of the MEM and improve MEM professional in YN University. The main contents of the study are as follows:(1)Through the questionnaire survey and comparative analysis, this paper discusses the characteristics, competitive advantages and existing problems of MEM specialty in YN University. It is believed that the MEM of YN University has the competitive advantage in the organizational structure of the training unit, target positioning, the allocation of teachers and regional characteristics, but there are also some problems in the curriculum and training programs.(2)Through the questionnaire survey and comparative analysis, this paper studies the employment competitiveness of YN University MEM from the comprehensive quality, social demand, employment channels and some other aspects of MEM in YN University. The results show that the MEM of the YN University has formed a comparatively optimization model in the professional integration, coordination of resources, and the intersection and infiltration of knowledge, and enhanced their employment competitiveness in all-round quality and the structure of knowledge.According to the survey results, the proportion of YN University MEM really engaged in the occupation of engineering management is relatively low,the social awareness of MEM is not enough, and the recognition of MEM is also low.It shows that the employment of MEM is out of step with the social demand. That how to improve the employment of MEM and make MEM graduates really play a role in the post of social needs need the training unit and the employer to work together.(3)Evaluation system on employment competitiveness is set up according to characteristics of MEM in YN University. The evaluation model and evaluation method of BP artificial neural networks on employment competitiveness are analyzed and discussed.(4)In order to promote the MEM professional training mode of YN University and improve the employment competitiveness of MEM graduates,I put forward some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of professional background, curriculum and resource optimization in this paper, according to the investigation and comparative analysis of the results.
