| "Nationwide Fitness Program Outline" enacted in 1995 put forward a call to fully develop a wide variety of sports programs and apply them to the public fitness activities.With the growing awareness of keeping fit,more and more people participate in various kinds of sports.With a variety of sports activities,people’s physique has been significantly improved,and their health standard has been increasingly promoted.Therefore,sports have played an increasingly important role in improving people’s overall quality and promoting the spiritual civilization and material civilization of the society."Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Sports Industry to Promote Sports Consumption" was then promulgated by the State Council in order to better implement the"Nationwide Fitness Program Outline",achieve the goal of "everyone is healthy and keep everyone healthy",and to raise awareness of lifelong fitness,cultivate the habit of lifelong sports as well as to meet the needs for sports culture of the masses.The "Opinions" aims to enhance nationwide fitness as a national strategy to make sure that a growing number of communities and families have more and more opportunities to play sports.Under this circumstance,balloon volleyball,as one of the mass sports,has entered into people’s lives in Lanzhou.Based on SWOT analysis,this study gives a systematical analysis and summary of the development of balloon volleyball in Lanzhou,as well as its internal and external environment.The research shows that the sport of balloon volleyball in Lanzhou is now in a critical period of popularizing and developing,but there are still a lot of problems in this process.Therefore,this study focuses on the advantages and opportunities that the balloon volleyball faces in Lanzhou as well as its weaknesses and threats,and then the strategies on how to solve these problems are proposed.This study employs some research methods,such as document literature,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics,logical analysis and SWOT analysis,etc to analyze the present participating condition of the balloon volleyball by randomly sampling Lanzhou Railway Bureau,Lanzhou Telecommunications Company and Lanzhou Railway Company.Based on this analysis,the study builds a SWOT matrix in order to combine and match a variety of internal and external environment which can be taken into account and then get the following conclusions:1.Lacking of facilities,and the venues with rich resources in middle and primary schools are not open to the public2.With a sole funding source,there is no multiple channels for the finance3.The balloon volleyball sport is widely played in the interior of certain institutions and some spontaneous non-governmental organizations,and it lacks the main body participation of the government which support for balloon volleyball is not strong enough4.The propaganda is so inadequate that people know very little about balloon volleyball sport5.The balloon volleyball sport started relatively late in Lanzhou,thus,it has a low popularity in the mass6.The development of the balloon volleyball sport is just limited in the entertainment and fitness stage rather than the competitive levelAccording to the conclusions,the study puts forward the following suggestions:1.Reinforce the opening and construction work of stadium,and achieve the spatialization of the balloon volleyball sport2.Strengthen the support from the government,and achieve the scale development of the balloon volleyball sport3.Enhance the effect of the propaganda from the media,and achieve the popularization of the balloon volleyball sport4.Strengthen the training work of the professionals,and achieve the regularization and professionalization of the balloon volleyball sport5.Increase the form of its organization,and achieve the diversification of the balloon volleyball sport... |
