Study On The Mental Health Of Secondary Vocational Poor Students And Parental Rearing Patterns As Well As The Countermeasures

Abstract/Summary:
The secondary vocational and technical school bears the responsibility to provide the high quality labor force for the social economy development.Secondary vocational school students age generally around 16 to 19 years old,is in the teenagers to adult transition in the special stage,this period of their physiological,psychological and social development appear significant change,but also produce psychological perplexity,psychological conflict most of the time,known as the "difficult period" or "dangerous period",need special attention.This study in Enshi City secondary vocational and technical schools,for example,poor students’families regarded as the experimental group and non poor family as the reference group,to explore the differences between the parental rearing patterns and the corresponding child psychological health level of the,to help poor families parents improve parenting style,improve their children’s mental health.Study the use of cluster sampling method,selected the three grades in Enshi City secondary vocational and technical school three years of secondary school classes,a total of seven professional 700 students participated in the questionnaire survey,age between 15 to 18 obtained conclusions are as follows:1.The level of the psychological problems of the students in the secondary vocational school.In addition to the two factors of hostility and depression at the level of health,other factors and the general state of mind are in the "sub healthy" state,that is,with mild psychological problems.Compared with the norm,secondary vocational school students parents in emotional warmth and understanding,excessive interference,favoritism and excessive protection factor scored significantly lower than the norm,and compared with the norm,secondary vocational school students parents more use of punishment,harsh,rejection,denial and negative parenting style.2.The paranoid level of the poor students in the secondary vocational school was significantly higher than that of the non poor students.There was no significant difference between the poor and the non poor students in the family education.3.Parental rearing pattern,with many parents emotional warmth,understanding the positive parenting style,secondary vocational school poor students psychological health level more high,but the psychological health level of the parenting style and non impoverished vocational students without significant correlation.4.Father’s excessive interference can reduce the psychological health level of the poor students in the secondary vocational school,but the psychological health level of the children of the non poor students is not predicted.5.Whether it is the poor students in the secondary vocational school or the non-poor students,the parents refused,denied,too much protection and other negative parenting style will significantly reduce the level of psychological health of their children.According to the above conclusions,this study put forward the following education suggestions,in order to provide help for the development of vocational school students’family education,improve parent-child relationship,promote the mental health of secondary vocational school students in poor areas:1.The state,society and schools should increase financial aid to the poor students in secondary vocational schools,and reduce the economic burden on the families of the poor students in the secondary vocational schools.2.Schools,including primary and secondary schools,should popularize mental health knowledge and improve students’ psychological quality.3.Parents should be more than 3 poor students with positive parenting style,let children feel the warmth of the family.4.Poor students in secondary vocational schools should strengthen their own mental health care,and consciously adjust the bad mood.The shortcomings of this study is just from the perspective of the economic situation of the family,to explore the difference of parental rearing patterns and effects on mental health,but parents of their character,temperament,harmonious relationship between husband and wife,child’s personality,parenting style reaction,family background and so on,these factors may affect parental rearing patterns.
