The Impact Of Government Transparency On Public Service Satisfaction

In the context of rapid economic development,the improvement of people's living standards has brought more urgent demand for public services,but the level of public service development still needs to be improved.In recent years,building a service-oriented government has gradually become an important theme of concern in China.Public service satisfaction is an important symbol of the level of public service supply,and it will be affected by many factors,among which government transparency can affect the level of public satisfaction under certain conditions.Government transparency involves many aspects of government work and public demands,and provides an important way for the public to understand the operation of the government and the government to understand the public demands.However,the current research results on the relationship between government transparency and public service satisfaction are scarce.Based on the principal-agent theory and customer satisfaction theory,this article studies the relationship between government transparency and public service satisfaction,using Stata15.0 software and a panel fixed-effect model to analyze the government transparency and public service satisfaction data of 33 cities in China for 2014-2017.Taking health care and basic education as examples,we empirically tested whether government transparency will affect the level of public service satisfaction.And analyze whether there are differences in the impact of government transparency on the satisfaction of different types of public services.The research results of this paper show that government transparency has a weak influence on overall also medical and health satisfaction,which shows that there is no obvious correlation.But it can have a strong positive impact on basic education satisfaction(Significant at a statistical level of 1%).The article empirically tested the correlation between government transparency and overall also the satisfaction of different types of public services,with a view to making some contributions to related research and providing some practical suggestions for related practical work.
