Research Report On The Implementation Of Corporate Social Responsibility System Of Main Board Listed Companies In Shandong Province

Article 5 of Company Law of the People's Republic of China amended on October 27,2005 stipulates: When undertaking business operations,a company shall bear social responsibilities.In September 2006,the Shenzhen Stock Exchange issued Guidelines on Social Responsibility of Listed Companies,it provides guidance for listed companies to fulfill their social responsibilities.In September 2018,China Securities Regulatory Commission issued a new version of the guidelines for the governance of listed companies,which put forward more clear requirements for the disclosure of environment,poverty alleviation and governance information of listed companies,further promoting the development of corporate social responsibility system in China.In 2014,Shandong Province was approved by the Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision to release two documents,Index System of Corporate Social Responsibility and Guidelines for the Compilation of Corporate Social Responsibility Reports.The construction of corporate social responsibility in Shandong has entered a new stage of standardized and annotated development.After analyzing the domestic and foreign researches about corporate social responsibility,the author finds that most researches are theoretical macro study and a few people have studied the implementation of the regional corporate social responsibility system from the specific level.The research on corporate social responsibility should aim to solve specific problems.Hence,it has theoretical and practical significance to research the implementation of corporate social responsibility system of Shandong listed companies.The research selected 35 mainboard listed companies in Shandong province as research subjects and described the status quo of the implementation of the corporate social responsibility system of those companies based on specific data obtained by Cninfo,Eastmoney,and CSR-China and other website.Based on statistics,the research discovered problems existing in the implementation of the corporate social responsibility system,analyzed the reasons for the problems and then proposed thespecific legal measures andsuggestions on how to implement the social responsibility system of main board listed companies in Shandong province.The thesis was made up of five chapters.Chapter one included introduction,which presented the study background,the significance of the study and research methods.Chapter two served as literature review including legislations of corporate social responsibility at home and aboard as well as the research status.Chapter three was mainly concerned with the status quo of the implementation of the corporate social responsibility of mainboard listed company in Shandong province.What's more,problems existing in the implementation were elaborated.Chapter four presented the reasons for the problems existing in the implementation.The last chapter proposed specific legal measures and suggestions on how to implement the social responsibility system of main board listed companies in Shandong province.After research,the thesis found that in the process of implementing the corporate social responsibility system,listed companies on the main board of Shandong province have many problems.The release of corporate social responsibility reports is random and its number is not enough.What's more,the contents of corporate social responsibility reports have different levels and lack of objectivity.Therefore,listed companies should be strengthened in fulfilling their corporate social responsibility obligations in terms of strengthening local legislation,intensifying enforcement of existing law,refining the corporate governance structure,giving play to the role of morality and other aspects.
